Head of Engineering

We are seeking a visionary Head of Engineering to lead large-scale global engineering teams and drive enterprise-wide transformation, modernisation, and innovation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of scaling engineering organisations, delivering high-quality web, mobile, and backend platforms, and leading AI/GenAI-driven transformation programs. This role requires strong product engineering experience with measurable business impact and a customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and scale a global engineering organisation of 400+ engineers across multiple regions.
• Drive the delivery of enterprise-scale web and mobile applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Own digital, cloud, and AI transformation initiatives across Azure and GCP platforms.
• Lead modernisation initiatives including microservices, distributed systems, API-first architecture, and cloud-native engineering.
• Drive AI, GenAI, and Agentic AI adoption by identifying innovation opportunities and enabling engineering excellence.
• Define the organisation's technology vision, engineering roadmap, architecture standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with executive leadership and global stakeholders to align technology strategy with business objectives.
• Establish operational excellence through observability, monitoring, performance engineering, and platform reliability.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience managing and scaling engineering organisations of 400+ professionals.
• Proven ability to build high-performing engineering teams and develop organisational capabilities from the ground up.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with experience working across global teams.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive transformation, innovation, and engineering excellence.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Cloud, Architecture, or Technology certifications are preferred.
