Working with senior leaders, architects, engineers and clinical stakeholders, you'll balance innovation with strong security practices to help us deliver better health outcomes whilst maintaining trust.\nIf you're passionate about AI, security architecture and responsible innovation, we'd love to hear from you.\nKey Responsibilities\nAs our Lead AI & Data Security Architect, you'll:\nDefine secure AI adoption patterns and security standards across Bupa.\nLead threat modelling and security reviews for AI-enabled solutions, including large language models (LLMs), generative AI tools and autonomous agents.\nDevelop governance frameworks, security controls and assurance processes that support safe AI adoption.\nSet security requirements for AI platforms, APIs, integrations and cloud-based AI services.\nIdentify and help manage risks associated with unauthorised or unsanctioned AI usage.\nProvide expert guidance on AI security, architecture decisions and emerging threats.\nPartner with technology, data, legal, clinical and risk teams to embed security into AI initiatives.\nPresent security recommendations and risk assessments to senior stakeholders and executive audiences.\nAssess AI suppliers and third-party solutions from a security and data protection perspective.\nContribute to security standards, reference architectures and continuous improvement activities across the wider technology function.\nSupport awareness, education and a strong security culture around responsible AI use.\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe're looking for an experienced security professional who combines deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement skills.\nYou'll have:\nSignificant experience in security architecture, cyber security consulting or enterprise security leadership roles.\nStrong experience securing AI, machine learning and cloud-based services.\nExpert knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry and cloud security principles.\nExperience leading threat modelling, security architecture reviews and control design activities.\nStrong knowledge of security frameworks including NIST CSF, NIST AI RMF, ISO 27001, ISO 42001 and OWASP AI security guidance.\nExperience working within highly regulated environments such as healthcare, financial services or government.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and engaging way.\nExperience influencing senior stakeholders and supporting strategic decision making.\nKnowledge of UK GDPR and data protection requirements.\nIt's a bonus if you also have:\nCISSP, CISM, CCSP, SABSA or TOGAF certifications.\nMicrosoft AI or AI security certifications.\nExperience securing generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions or AI agents.\nBenefits\nOur benefits are designed to make health happen for our people.
