Making a difference to the lives of our customers each day.\nRole Overview\nYou will provide and maintain efficient administrative and reception services for the Radiology Department, ensuring that a high quality service is delivered to patients, staff and Consultants. You’ll work as part of a multi-disciplinary team - showing flexibility of shared tasks to ensure that we provide the best quality service in a pleasant environment for both staff and patients.\nYou’ll help us make health happen by\nEnsure all customers are dealt with in a professional manner and all queries are dealt with efficiently - over the telephone and email\nTake bookings for Diagnostic Imaging examinations and give patients precise and accurate preparation instructions.\nTake and give accurate information over the telephone and to have an efficient telephone manner.\nAdvise the Administration Lead of any problems within the department and to handle minor complaints with immediate action and a thorough follow up.\nEnsure that effective booking, information, reporting and filing systems are maintained and developed on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.\nCheck General area/CT / MRI charges for the previous day, adding issues on Compucare for inpatients. \nCheck bookings scheduled for following day and obtain request forms to ensure efficient patient journey.\nCreate and maintain good working relationships with all members of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging, liaising regularly with the Administration Manager to form a cohesive team, working together to provide an exemplary service.\nPromote good relations with referring clinicians, other hospital departments and outside organisations to ensure that the reputation of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and the Bupa Cromwell Hospital is upheld.\nKey Skills / Qualifications needed for this role\nExperience in Administration within a healthcare environment\nExperience within radiology is desirable\nGood communication and strong interpersonal skills\nExcellent telephone manner\nArticulate and Polite\nOrganisational skills - meeting deadlines and prioritising workloads\nConfident and can work under pressure\nNatural ability to empathise with patients and demonstrate genuine care\nAbility to work as part of a team\nAbility to work independently and autonomously\nBenefits\nOur benefits are designed to make health happen for our people.
