The post holder will ensure solutions are delivered on time, meet quality and security standards, and comply with agreed service levels.\nResponsibilities\nLead, mentor, and manage a small team of onshore/offshore engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment while ensuring timely delivery of projects.\nActively participate in solution design, development, implementation, and operational support activities, providing regular updates on project progress and technical recommendations.\nInvestigate and resolve application incidents, performance issues, and production problems to meet agreed service levels.\nEngage with business stakeholders, vendors, and technology teams to understand requirements, provide technical consultation, manage expectations, and ensure successful delivery of business objectives.\nDrive continuous improvement through automation, DevOps practices, and adoption of modern technologies to enhance system reliability, security, and operational efficiency.\nEvaluate, recommend, and implement AI-enabled solutions, automation initiatives, and AI-assisted development practices to improve business processes, software quality, team productivity, and operational effectiveness.\nCollaborate with platform engineers to provision secure and scalable cloud resources.\nProvide regular and effective progress updates to Application Managers and Project Managers, addressing delivery risks or issues proactively.\nLead technical assessments and impact analysis for enhancement requests and projects.\nDesign and support application integrations with internal and external systems through APIs, messaging platforms, and cloud services.\nCollaborate with business stakeholders, architects, platform teams, and analysts to deliver technology solutions that support business objectives.\nConfigure or apply changes on applications if necessary to meet the project requirements.\nDefine and ensure the software quality standards.\nEnsure applications comply with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.\nAssist to define the development framework under agile approach and work with all team members to follow the same methodology.\nRequirements\nUniversity degree in software engineering, information technology, computer science or equivalent\nMinimum 5 years of experience in application development, system implementation, and production support, including experience designing system integrations, APIs, or data solutions.\nMinimum 2 years of leadership experience managing small teams or projects.\nStrong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with business users, vendors, and technical teams.\nExperience with enterprise integration technologies, RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, and cloud-based services.\nHands-on experience provisioning and managing resources in Cloud environments (Azure / GCP)\nHands-on experience or strong awareness of AI technologies, including Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and AI-driven software development practices.\nProgramming experience in Java, SQL, Node.js, Vue.js, React, or equivalent modern application development frameworks. Experience implementing DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure automation.\nUnderstanding of Azure networking concepts, including VNET peering, private endpoints, and network security groups (NSGs).\nExperience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies (e.g., Azure Event Hubs, Kafka) is a plus\nKnowledge of data governance, security best practices, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates) for provisioning resources is a plus\nProven ability to lead and mentor a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.\nExperience in agile project management methodologies.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.\nExcellent communication skills to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\nGood command in English and Chinese\nBenefits\nBupa offers 5 days’ work per week and comprehensive remuneration packages including base salary, study assistance plan, company pension plan, life and medical benefit, dental benefit, annual leave, examination leave, etc.\nBupa is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from qualified candidates.
