WE PROVIDE TRAINING.\nKey Responsibilities:\n Performs ASME and National Board shop and field inspection services at assigned clients,\nincluding review and verification of code required activities, implementation and applicability of\nthe manufacturers written quality control system, and witnessing of all required tests.\n Monitors client quality control system for compliance with relevant codes and requirements.\n Documents all inspection activities per established policies.\n Ensures compliance with applicable sections of the ASME Code, the National Board Inspection\nCode, and Jurisdictional requirements for the construction and repair of boilers and pressure\nvessels.\n Acquires and maintains knowledge of the applicable sections of the ASME code, the National\nBoard code, and the Jurisdiction. Continually enhances knowledge through self-study, internal\ntraining, and approved courses.\nRequired Education and/or Experience\n Must have 4 years of demonstrated experience in nuclear reactors or the boiler and pressure\nvessel industry, such as design, welding, fabrication, operation, repair, inspection, nondestructive\nexamination, or quality control system oversight. A STEM BS or AS degree, CWI, or technical\ncertificate may be substituted for 2 years of experience.\n Must have a high school diploma\n Must complete a 2-week preparatory training course provided by Bureau Veritas on ASME\nSections I, IV, V, VIII, IX, and B31.1.\n Must be able to obtain a National Board Authorized Inspector Commission with \"R\" Endorsement.\nObtaining this commission requires attendance at a 72-hour course and a 32-hour course\nprovided by the National Board, passing (2) exams administered by the National Board, and 80-\nhours of on-the-job training with another Commissioned Inspector.\nOR\n Must have a National Board Authorized Inspector Commission with \"R\" Endorsement.\nCompetencies\n Ability to read, write, speak clearly and informatively, use a computer, and perform basic\narithmetic.\n Ability to understand and interpret the boiler and pressure vessel codes.\n Ability to interact with clients.\n Ability to apply industry knowledge, technical skill, and sound business practice to decision\nmaking.\n Ability to adhere to established company policies, directives, and procedures, and to ensure\naccurate and timely reporting and submission of results for assigned activities.\nCompensation:\nTrainee: $32.00 -
