technical documentation\n\nResponsibilities / Authorities / Accountabilities\n\nPrimary Functions\n\nPerform analysis of structural forces, stresses, and loads to ensure bridges are safe and meet safety standards.\nReview structural calculations and use computer software to model bridges and test different design options.\nInspect construction sites regularly to verify work quality matches the design plans and resolves issues that arise.\nAssess the condition and safety of existing bridges by identifying damage, corrosion, and structural problems.\nPrepare comprehensive technical reports.\nAttend meetings and discussion with client and authority.\n\nTechnical Expertise\n\nPossess deep understanding of mathematics, physics, and mechanics.\nKnowledgeable in forces moving through different bridge types and can calculate stresses and strains.\nUnderstand concrete and steel properties, including strength, durability, and corrosion protection.\nUnderstand soil mechanics and foundation design for stable bridge support.\nKnow-how in hydraulics, seismic, wind, and temperature effects on bridges.\nCompetencies in bridge construction i.e. sequences, phasing, launching, and segmental construction techniques.\nCapable of carrying out technical investigation methods.\nProficient in AutoCAD, SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD, Revit, Finite Element modeling, statistical analysis tools,
