The engineer reviews and approves procurement and quality documentation, monitors vendor manufacturing, and follows up site works against approved specifications, ITPs and quality standards.\nKey responsibilities\nReview and approve EPC procurement documentation for electrical equipment and instrumentation systems.\nMonitor vendor manufacturing activities and participate in FAT and SAT activities.\nSupport and follow up site activities in line with approved project specifications, ITPs and quality standards.\nCoordinate resolution of technical queries and review procurement deliverables.\nValidate corrective actions for non-conformities.\nReview and approve relevant quality documentation.\nQualifications and experience\n\nEducation\n\nBSc or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical discipline from a recognized institution\n\nExperience\n\nMinimum 15 years on major oil and gas projects, with at least 3 years on similar projects overseeing E&I works\n\nLV/HV qualification\n\nFormal qualification for activities associated with LV/HV equipment\n\nInstrumentation and control\n\nFamiliarity with instrumentation and control works: cable termination, glanding, I/O checks and simulation checks\n\nFAT / SAT\n\nProven experience liaising with EPC contractors, manufacturers and client representatives during FAT and SAT of electrical and instrumentation systems\n\nCertifications\n\nCompEx or similar is a plus\n\nKey interfaces\nEPC contractor engineering, procurement and construction teams\nEquipment and system manufacturers\nClient representatives\nJob Post\nElectrical & Instrumentation Engineer\nBureau Veritas is hiring a senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join the owner's team on a major methanol project in the UAE.
