Position Junior Microbiologist\n1.2. Office / Department AFC\n1.3. Reporting to Anser Rasheed\n1.4. Key Working Relationship Field & Lab\n2. Minimum Required Qualifications\n2.1. Specialty Food Testing\n2.2. Education Bachelor’s / master’s degree in microbiology\n2.3. Training GLP, Basic knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025\n2.4. Technical knowledge Microbiological testing of food & water, media preparation, record keeping, worksheets & testing reports, basic knowledge of use of lab equipment & waste disposal.\n2.5. Experience Fresh/ 1 year experience in testing.\n3. Responsibilities / Authorities / Accountabilities\n3.1. Primary Functions Microbiological testing of water, food, environment samples, swabs and raw materials.\n3.2. Technical Expertise Microbiological testing of food & water, media preparation, record keeping, worksheets & testing reports, basic knowledge of use of lab equipment & waste disposal, Understanding of ISO 17025 and GLP. Participate in proficiency testing/inter-lab comparison.\n3.3. Business Requirements\nEnsure timely completion of testing activities and reporting.\nMaintain confidentiality and integrity of customer samples and test results.\nSupport laboratory accreditation requirements (ISO 17025) and quality objectives.\nAssist in achieving laboratory productivity and turnaround time (TAT) targets.\n3.4. Self Management\nDemonstrate willingness to learn and develop technical competencies.\nMaintain accuracy, attention to detail, and good laboratory practices.\nWork effectively as part of a team and communicate professionally.\nManage assigned tasks independently and meet deadlines.\n3.5. Customer Focus\nHandle customer samples with care and maintain traceability.\nSupport timely and accurate delivery of test results.\nRespond positively to internal and external customer requirements.\nContribute to maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through quality service.\n3.6. HSE Requirements\nComply at all times with all applicable legal requirements, BV HSE Policies, procedures and practices.\nMaintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation/fault/hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/HSE Representative\nReport immediately to HSE Representative any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.\nReport immediately to HSE Representative any HSE incident and cooperate in investigation\nReporting all incidents and taking action whenever they see an unsafe act or condition\nTake care of your own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what you do (or do not do).\nCo-operate with others on health and safety, and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for your health, safety or welfare.\n4. Performance Monitoring\n4.1. Continual Development\nComplete required technical and HSE trainings.\nParticipate in proficiency testing and competency assessments.\nDevelop knowledge of ISO 17025, GLP, and laboratory best practices.\nContinuously improve technical skills through on-the-job training.\n4.2. KPI’s\nSample testing completed within agreed turnaround time (TAT).\nAccuracy and quality of testing results.\nCompliance with ISO 17025, GLP, and laboratory procedures.\nZero major non-conformities attributable to the position.\nTimely completion of records, worksheets, and test reports.\nParticipation in proficiency testing with satisfactory performance.\n4.3.
