The role will also have accountabilities and responsibilities related to various components/attributes of LIMS (ex. Test codes, EDDs, etc.) while also developing comprehensive data visualization solutions to enhance operational efficiency, customer service, and strategic decision-making across the organization.\nThe role involves close collaboration with Customer Service, Operations, management, programmers, and Business Analysts. Facilitating effective communication and project development is fundamental.\n Key Accountability/Responsibilities:\nThe Specialist will review and write LIMS Proposal Requests, ensuring comprehensive documentation and capturing all necessary information. They will draft detailed Project Change Documents (PCDs) and submit them to Business Analysts for review, while simultaneously developing Tableau dashboards that provide actionable insights across departments.\nThe role involves close collaboration with programmers and Business Analysts, facilitating effective communication and project development. The Specialist will test implemented LIMS changes to ensure accuracy and functionality, and create interactive reports using Tableau that translate complex data into understandable visualizations.\nAdditionally, they will implement EDD (Electronic Delivery) Builder protocols to standardize report generation and automate data transfer mechanisms. The Specialist will work closely with staff to identify existing LIMS solutions, promote efficiency, and provide strategic assessments to leadership regarding project viability and implementation efforts.\nContinuous improvement is a key focus, with the Specialist driving efficiency within LIMS and related systems while ensuring adherence to regulatory conditions for external and internal clients. They will support development and maintenance of Tableau dashboards that integrate multiple data sources, optimize performance, and provide comprehensive documentation of visualization processes. They will develop and maintain Power BI dashboards where Tableau dashboards are not available.\nThe Specialist will have experience with SQL database management systems and will be required to generate data pulls to support individual operational continuous improvement initiatives.\nThe role requires participation in department and Health & Safety meetings, maintenance of training records, and compliance with Bureau Veritas Code of Ethics Policy and quality systems.\nAll other responsibilities as assigned.\nSkills and Knowledge:\nPost-secondary education in science, computer science or data science\n5+ years of experience in laboratory information systems, preferably with MaxxLIMS\nProficiency with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Online, and Tableau Prep Builder is an asset\nStrong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices\nProficiency with PowerBi is an asset\nExperience in SQL and data manipulation\nAbility to work with large and complex datasets\nProficiency in LIMS software and related technologies\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExcellent written and verbal communication abilities\nAbility to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders\nExperience in project management and process improvement\nFamiliarity with laboratory operations and workflows\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously\nExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment\nAdaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and processes\nAbility to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders across different locations\n Working Conditions:\nMainly in an office environment or remote work setup.\nExtended periods of computer use for dashboard development and data analysis.\nMay require occasional flexible working hours to accommodate national team meetings.\nMental effort required for problem-solving, data analysis, and creative dashboard design.\nHigh level of visual attention required for data visualization and quality assurance.\nAdditional Benefits Include:\nPaid Time Off, Statutory Holidays, and up to 8 hours of volunteer time off\nLife Insurance & AD&D\nSTD & LTD Coverage\nCompany RRSP match\nEmployee Assistant Program (EAP)\nProfessional Development through Tuition Reimbursement\nBureau Veritas is proud to be committed to providing fair and competitive pay.\nThe annual salary range for this role is $60 -
