This is an opportunity to play a key role in safeguarding offshore installations while working with some of the industry's most recognized operators and asset owners.\nAbout the Job\n As a Verification Engineer, you will become part of our Offshore Verification team based in Esbjerg. You will contribute to independent verification activities for offshore assets in the Danish sector of the North Sea, helping ensure compliance, integrity, and operational safety throughout the asset lifecycle.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nConducting independent verification and conformity assessment activities\nReviewing engineering, inspection, maintenance, and operational documentation\nAssessing compliance with applicable legislation, standards, and industry practices\nEvaluating the integrity and safety of offshore cranes and lifting systems\nPreparing clear and concise technical reports and recommendations\nEngaging with clients, technical specialists, and regulatory stakeholders\nParticipating in onshore and offshore site visits when required\nThe role is primarily office-based, with occasional travel to client sites and offshore installations. Typical offshore involvement consists of approximately five one-week trips per year.\nAbout You\n We are seeking a positive, analytical, and solution-oriented colleague who enjoys working across technical disciplines and tackling complex challenges.\nYou have strong communication skills, a structured approach to technical assessments, and the ability to balance technical requirements with practical operational realities.\nAs a minimum your educational background could be a structural engineering, bachelor, or other related degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience within offshore crane -operations, -maintenance, -inspection, or a closely related field or you could have a mechanical background with at least 6 years of relevant experience within offshore crane -operations, -maintenance, -inspection\nAdditionally, you should have:\n\nKnowledge of offshore crane maintenance practices and associated standards and codes\nUnderstanding of offshore operations and major hazard management principles\nThe ability to meet North Sea medical requirements and willingness to travel offshore\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English\nGood report-writing and documentation skills\nA systematic and detail-oriented working style\nThe following will be considered an advantage:\n\nDanish language skills, both written and spoken\nExperience from the oil and gas industry\nExperience with lifting equipment, mechanical integrity, verification, inspection, or regulatory compliance activities\nWhy Join Bureau Veritas?\n At Bureau Veritas, our people are our greatest asset.
