Do you seek out ideas for improving the status quo?\nIf you want to make a difference and love being surrounded by the best and the brightest minds, Bureau Veritas Canada might be the place for you!\nHere are our Core Values:\nTrusted\nResponsible\nAmbitious & Humble\nOpen & Inclusive\nIf these values resonate with you, Bureau Veritas is looking for a\nJob Title: Warehouse Associate\nDepartment: Warehouse\nLocation: Timmins\n6-month contract\nBasic Purpose:\nReporting to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, the position of Warehouse Associate is primarily responsible for organizing client samples for storage, inventory tracking and deliver consumables as needed to support operations.\nKey Accountability/Responsibilities:\nLoad, unload and move samples and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment\nOperate loaders and other equipment to transport materials to and from transportation vehicles and loading docks\nLog and store samples into LIMS as set out in established standard procedures\nEnsure all files/boxes/rejects stored at the warehouse are recorded into storage areas for timely retrieval as requested\nRespond to client requests for disposal and returns that have passed free storage period and perform quality check to ensure accuracy\nMaintain lab requirements of supplies when needed and transport samples/rejects into warehouse storage\nOperate and maintain equipment according to written instructions\nComply with all BV policies, occupational safety regulations, laboratory safety procedures, and the requirements of all applicable Quality System SOPs\nAct in a safe and professional manner and wear appropriate attire including the required personal protective equipment (PPE)\nInteracts with all other essential functions and personnel in BVCC when necessary\nOther duties as assigned or required from time to time\nSkills and Competencies:\nMinimum completion of high school education\nForklift driving ticket and hazardous goods handling/transportation an asset - company training will be provided if needed\nMust have a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License or equivalent\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nExcellent organization and time management skills\nKeen attention to detail and ability to focus on workplace safety\nSafely perform physically demanding tasks with repeated lifting\nAbility to handle weights of up to 50 lbs for prolonged periods\nOpen and inclusive mindset with a willingness to work in a team dynamic\nBenefits:\nHealth & Dental Coverage\nLife Insurance\nSTD & LTD Coverage\nCompany RRSP match\nEmployee Assistant Program (EAP)\nProfessional Development\n\nBureau Veritas is proud to be committed to providing fair and competitive pay.
