In this role, you'll learn from experienced environmental professionals while contributing to environmental assessment, compliance and remediation projects that restore land and communities. You'll gain hands-on field and office experience as part of a collaborative team that values curiosity, fresh perspectives, and growth at every career stage.\nWhat You’ll Do\nSupport environmental site assessment, investigation, remediation, compliance and permitting projects\nPerform soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, soil vapor, and other environmental sample collection and shipping in accordance with project plan and standard procedures\nSupport drilling oversight, monitoring well installation, and well development activities\nLog soil and/or rock samples, document subsurface conditions, and prepare field notes, boring logs, well construction logs, and sample records\nCalibrate, operate, and maintain field equipment such as water quality meters, photoionization detectors, water level meters, GPS units, and sampling equipment\nPrepare field documentation, technical memoranda, tables, figures, reports, permit documents, and regulatory submittals\nResearch environmental regulations, guidance, databases, and public records\nCoordinate with clients, subcontractors, drillers, laboratories, agencies, facility operators, and internal project teams\nSupport health and safety planning, tailgate safety meetings, job hazard analyses, and implementation of site-specific health and safety requirements\nAssist with proposals, project research, cost estimates, meeting preparation, and business development\nSkills & Qualifications\nBachelor of Arts or Science in Geology, Hydrogeology or other related Earth Soil science\n2 - 5 years of related experience required\nAbility to use AI tools responsibly for research, drafting, and data organization\nAbility to research agency databases, public records, and municipal portals\nAbility to work outside in all weather conditions and traverse uneven terrain\nExperience with solid waste or landfill development is a plus\nExperience with MS Office Suite required; familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, Bluebeam and/or Adobe Acrobat preferred\nAbility to obtain OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification\nAbility to travel up to 50% of time, including overnight stays\nAdaptable and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as a proactive approach to problem solving\nLearn More\nTo learn more about B&N, our culture and what we offer, visit: www.burgessniple.com/careers/perks-culture \n\nBurgess & Niple is an Equal Opportunity Employer\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, age, national origin, disability status, marital status, sexual orientation, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.
