This is a highly hands-on role sitting at the intersection ofAI engineering, product, and customer delivery.\nYou’ll build POCs, MVPs, and production integrations while working directly with customers, account executives, and engineering teams. You’ll also engage with technical and executive stakeholders to discuss architecture, strategy, and business outcomes.\nThis is not a traditional consulting or solutions role you’ll behands-on-keyboard, writing code, deploying systems, solving technical problems, and contributing directly to our products and platform.\nWhat You’ll Do\nWork directly with customers to understand their technical and business challenges.\n\nDesign and build POCs, MVPs, and production AI applications.\n\nDeploy and optimize LLM and generative AI workloads in production.\n\nWork with open-source models, inference infrastructure, and AI/ML platforms.\n\nCollaborate with customer engineering teams, account executives, and Fireworks product/engineering teams.\n\nTranslate customer requirements into scalable technical solutions.\n\nTroubleshoot complex AI, infrastructure, and deployment challenges.\n\nCommunicate technical architecture and tradeoffs to both engineers and executive stakeholders.\n\nContribute code and product improvements directly to the codebase.\n\nTurn customer learnings into product feedback and help shape our roadmap.\n\nTake ownership of projects from initial discovery through production deployment.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nWe’re looking for engineers who combinestrong technical depth with excellent customer-facing skills.\nYou may come from backgrounds such as:\nForward Deployed Engineer\n\nAI/ML Engineer\n\nApplied AI Engineer\n\nAI Solutions Engineer\n\nSolutions Architect\n\nSales Engineer\n\nCustomer Engineer\n\nML/AI Infrastructure Engineer\n\nCustomer Success Engineer with strong technical depth\n\nRequired\n3-10 years of experience in a client-facing technical or AI/ML engineering role.\n\nStrong Python programming skills.\n\nExperience building and deploying AI/ML or generative AI applications.\n\nExperience working with LLMs and/or open-source AI models.\n\nAbility to work directly with customers and communicate technical concepts clearly.\n\nExperience building POCs and taking solutions toward production.\n\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments.\n\nWillingness to work hands-on across engineering, customer delivery, and product.\n\nTechnical Experience\nExperience with some of the following is highly relevant:\nPython\n\nvLLM\n\nSGLang\n\nTensorRT-LLM\n\nKubernetes\n\nAWS, Azure, or GCP\n\nAWS Bedrock / SageMaker\n\nAzure AI Foundry\n\nGCP Vertex AI\n\nLLM fine-tuning, including SFT, DPO, or RFT\n\nGPU infrastructure\n\nModel inference and optimization\n\nYoudo not need experience with every technology listed, but you should have strong fundamentals in AI/ML engineering and be comfortable
