You will use preventive and predictive maintenance processes, rapidly troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, and quickly restore equipment to service to support the successful operation of the supply chain facility. You will work with other Target maintenance technicians to solve difficult problems, validate quality of work for outside specialty contractors, work with building leaders to optimize material handling equipment, handle multiple projects, and work with a sense of urgency. You will collaborate with others to perform Root Cause Analysis for equipment failures and fix systemic issues using careful observation and diagnostic tools. You will have an expert understanding of system controls logic and troubleshooting techniques. As the technical subject matter expert on a shift, you will also act as a technical trainer, sharing your knowledge with maintenance technicians and technician trainees to enhance their technical skills and job knowledge. You will operate Burlington-owned vehicles to complete maintenance activities on the exterior of the facility and within the trailer yard, as well as travel to nearby facilities to procure parts and supplies as needed.SHIFT: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 1st shift (Daytime)\nA Day in the Life\nMaintain and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical aspects of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including conveyors, sortation, robotics, or Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS)\n\nControl and adjust positioning accuracy and timing\n\nControl and adjust scanners, cameras, scalesand printer applicators\n\nControl, reset, repairor replace adjustable components (belts, chains, cables) and wearing components (guides, bearings, wheels, rollers, pulleys)\n\nClean, lubricate, and calibrate equipment\n\nInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, and control components-- photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachometersand encoders\n\nTroubleshoot PLC programs, components (CPU back plains, I/O boards, counters, modules, and devices), field buses (ASI, Profibus, DeviceNet, etc.), and communications modules (Ethernet).\n\nConfigure and adjust PLC parameters and componentsetup\n\nConduct maintenance and higher-leveltroubleshooting of any robot type\n\nTroubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and materials, up to 480V\n\nDevelop work plans with peer technicians for emergency repair of critical assets\n\nUtilize handheld devices and asset management system mobile apps to create and close Work Orders with appropriate data(labor hours, downtime, problem/cause/remedy, and parts used)\n\nDevelop and maintainpositive working relationships across all levels of the organization\n\nFollow appropriate safetyprocedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintainingequipment (Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc.), and ensure a safe work environment by eliminatingpotential equipment safety hazards.\n\nYou'll Come With\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\n\n4+ years’ experience in the Mechanical or Electrical maintenance field in a distribution center environment\n\nPossess or ability to obtain a valid driver’s license\n\nExcellent PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices\n\nFamiliar with wiring diagrams, symbolsand electrical measuring\n\nExperience in the following areas:\n\nPreventive/predictive maintenance procedures\n\nCommonly used industrial tools\n\nBasic Carpentry and Plumbing\n\nBasic metal fabrication and welding\n\nBlueprint and schematic reading\n\nWork order management\n\nIndustrial Electrical, Controls and Electronics\n\nProgrammable Logic Control (PLC) programs\n\nNational Electrical Code (NEC) and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards\n\nAutomated material handling equipment or robotic maintenance\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nDegree from a technical or community college, or accredited industrial maintenance certifications (PLCs, Industrial Networks, Machine Logic, Robotics), with a focus in the Mechanical/Electrical fields\n\nExperience with automated conveyor systems and controls\n\nExperience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards\n\nExperience with Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)\n\nAbility to troubleshoot Input/Output functions\n\nExperience with robotic operation/maintenance\n\nPhysical Requirements (must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation)\nRegular bending, lifting, stretchingand reaching both below the waist and above the head\n\nLift and move totes or cartons up to 49 pounds each\n\nWalking within and around the site with great frequency\n\nAbility to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation, and work off platforms and equipment at significant heights\n\nFull manual dexterity in both hands and wrists, eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals), manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)\n\nWorking conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces\n\nAbility to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours\n\nCome join our team.
