This role oversees data platform management, data governance, deployment operations, observability and incident management to ensure enterprise data and reporting solutions are business ready. This role drives operational excellence through monitoring, automation, change management, and continuous improvement, enabling trusted data and analytics capabilities across the organization.A Day in the Life\nData Operations:\nLead day-to-day operational oversight for enterprise data and analytics platforms, including Snowflake, Power BI, Merch BI and related data integration processes.\nMonitor data pipelines, report refreshes, system availability, and platform performance to ensure timely and accurate delivery of critical business reporting.\nCoordinate escalations with Data Engineering, Infrastructure, Analytics, and vendor support teams to resolve complex operational issues.\nMaintain operational standards, support procedures, runbooks, and knowledge documentation to improve consistency and reduce recurring issues.\nTrack operational metrics, support volume, incident trends, and recurring defects to identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and service reliability.\nDrive continuous improvement in data operations by identifying manual processes, reducing rework, and strengthening monitoring, alerting, and preventive controls.\nData Governance:\nOwn and lead enterprise data governance policies, standards, controls, and stewardship processes to ensure data is accurate, consistent, secure, trusted, and compliant with privacy, security, retention, audit, and regulatory requirements.\nEstablish and enforce data ownership, accountability, stewardship, and decision rights across business and technology teams to drive responsible data management and governance adoption.\nPartner with business leaders, Data Engineering, Analytics, and IT teams to define, govern, and maintain critical data elements, business definitions, enterprise KPIs, and metadata standards across the organization.\nDrive the adoption and ongoing maintenance of data catalog, business glossary, metadata management, data lineage, and other governance capabilities to improve data transparency, accessibility, and trust.\nMonitor data quality, governance metrics, issue trends, and stewardship activities; coordinate remediation efforts and drive continuous improvement through process optimization, automation, and governance best practices.\nPlatform Engineering:\nLead platform engineering and administration activities to ensure enterprise data and analytics platforms are reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs, including configuration, access management, and support for platforms such as Snowflake, Power BI, Informatica, and related technologies.\nPartner with Infrastructure, Security, Data Engineering, and vendor teams to maintain platform stability, performance, availability, and operational readiness through effective environment management, upgrades, patching, integrations, and release coordination.\nEstablish and enhance platform observability, monitoring, alerting, and service health capabilities to proactively identify risks, manage capacity and usage trends, and improve overall platform reliability and performance.\nDrive automation, self-service capabilities, engineering standards, operating procedures, and support models to improve operational efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce recurring issues and manual support effort.\nTeam Leadership\nLead, coach, and develop a team responsible for data operations, platform support, production reporting, and issue resolution.\nManage team priorities, resource planning, workload distribution, and delivery expectations to ensure timely support of business-critical data and reporting needs.\nEstablish clear operating routines, support processes, escalation paths, and accountability measures to improve team effectiveness and service reliability.\nPartner across IT, Data Engineering, Analytics, Infrastructure, Security, and business teams to align priorities and drive operational outcomes. \nYou'll Come With\nExperience:\n7+ years of IT application support experience.\n3+ years of leadership or management experience.\nExperience supporting enterprise data and analytics platforms in a production environment.\nTechnical Skills:\nSnowflake: User access management, query performance monitoring, troubleshooting data loading, and reporting issues.\nPower BI: Dataset refresh management, report troubleshooting, gateway support, workspace administration, and user access management.\nInformatica: Monitoring ETL processes, administrative tasks, workflow execution, job failures, and data integration troubleshooting.\nExperience with ServiceNow, Jira, or similar ticketing systems.\nUnderstanding SQL, data warehousing concepts, and cloud-based data platforms.\nDesired:\nKnowledge of Cloud based data solutions preferably Microsoft Azure\nRetail Back group desirable\nKnowledge of Data Governance tools preferably Informatica\nStrong leadership and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment #LI-ML1\nCome join our team.
