Partners with other departments and external vendors.A Day in the Life\nManages payroll processes, accurate and timely pay to associates - through management of Analysts and Specialists, ensures the organization’s payroll workstreams are optimal and efficient. Oversee timely and accurate data collection and calculation, system uploads, issuance of paychecks and electronic transfers. \nManages payroll research, analysis and troubleshooting - oversees research, analysis and troubleshooting of the organization’s payroll, including all payroll systems administration, and handling internal/external questions.\nManages team - selects and hires, allocates work, trains and develops, makes recommendations for personnel actions and compensation,. :Leads and motivates team of direct reports. Manages and evaluates performance - sets goals and objectives for the team, and with individual associates.\nEnsures integrity and compliance for all payroll processes and procedures. Maintains associate confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential. Audits payroll results, ensuring legislative compliance and internal reporting requirements. Ensures SOX compliance for all processes and procedures.\nYou'll Come With\nEducation: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (business, finance, accounting preferred). CPA or MBA preferred\nExperience: 5-7+ years’ relevant experience\nSkills and Abilities:\nHigh level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and Payroll/Accounting/Financial Systems. Working knowledge of BI Reporting a plus\nExtensive knowledge of the payroll function and familiarity with Workday Payroll and ADP systems preferred.\nAbility to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form and relate effectively with others.\nKnowledge of applicable federal and state wage and hour laws.\nIn-depth knowledge of payroll and accounting, including process, procedures, internal controls, and financial statements.\nStrong analytical and presentation skills.\nEffectively communicates with senior management, peers and staff.\nStrong team leadership skills as well as high level of customer service\nDemonstrates innovative thinking and problem solving/guides others in problem solving.\nAssociate management skills, including developing, training and coaching team.\nPlanning and resourcing skills - optimizes resources and workflow.\nCome join our team.
