They will be responsible for providing their team with continual training and development opportunities. This person will evaluate each team member’s performance to ensure work is being done according to company standards. They will act as support to their team when it comes to any shipping related issues.This role works within the merchandising operations sector and involves communication and reporting for a designated area of business. The work has a direct impact on the receipt and flow of goods to over 1,000 stores. The position involves internal interactions with merchant teams, merchandising operations and supply chain partners. Externally, the supervisor will engage with Burlington's vendor and carrier communities.\nA Day in the Life\nBusiness Acumen:\nDemonstrate solid knowledge of supervisor and analyst roles, tools and processes, how they relate with those in other operational areas and the impact to the company.\nConsistently seeks out ways to expand knowledge base and skillset.\nAbility to understand, provide input, and lead team through execution of meaningful strategies, balancing short- & long-term objectives in support of transformational change.\nServe as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to address and answer questions from team members and internal partners related to shipping and routing.\nEnsure accountability, evaluate analyst daily workload and measure them against the KPIs established.\nAid team with tracking and researching the movement of POs from creation date to receipt.\nFully knowledgeable of Burlington’s routing guide, vendor manuals and all shipping processes.\nOversee the creation of reporting based off the needs of their team.\nUpdate departmental SOPs as needed.\nRelationship Management\nBuild strong relationships with management/peers in merchant teams as well as vendor partners.\nConduct monthly buyer check-ins and shadows vendor meetings with analysts.\nDevelop and foster a reputation of credibility and responsiveness to others.\nWork collaboratively with internal and external business partners to achieve mutual goals.\nDemonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.\nConsistently demonstrate active listening skills and respond appropriately.
