This role also provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers without direct people management responsibility.\nA Day in the Life\nSecurity Architecture & Engineering Leadership\nDesign and implement enterprise-grade security engineering solutions across multiple domains.\nLead complex security engineering initiatives requiring deep technical expertise.\nInfluence architecture decisions to reduce attack surface and systemic risk.\nEnsure security controls are resilient, scalable, and aligned with real-world threats.\nEstablish engineering patterns, standards, and reference architectures.\nReview and validate designs and implementations for security effectiveness.\nStrategic Collaboration & Technical Influence\nPartner closely with cybersecurity operations, identity, cloud, infrastructure, and application teams to align engineering and operational security.\nProvide technical leadership during complex security events requiring engineering intervention.\nRepresent security engineering in architecture reviews and cross-functional forums.\nAdvise on risk trade-offs, control design, and platform decisions.\nSupport long-term security capability planning through engineering insight.\nAutomation, Mentorship & Continuous Improvement\nDesign and build advanced automation and infrastructure-as-code to support security controls.\nDrive improvements in reliability, observability, and operational readiness of security platforms.\nMentor junior engineers through technical guidance and design reviews.\nInfluence tooling strategy through hands-on evaluation and expertise.\nEnsure documentation and standards support repeatable, scalable engineering outcomes.\nScope & Impact\nThis position plays a critical role in strengthening the organization’s security posture by leading the design and implementation of enterprise-grade security engineering solutions.\nThe role requires deep technical expertise across multiple security domains and the ability to make high-impact engineering decisions in complex environments.\nThe Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer is directly accountable for improving the scalability, resilience, and effectiveness of security controls and platforms.\nThis role influences architecture and design decisions across infrastructure, cloud, identity, endpoint, and application environments.\nDecisions made in this role affect enterprise-wide attack surface reduction, control reliability, and long-term operational resilience.\nThe position drives continuous improvement by translating architectural gaps, operational issues, and emerging threats into engineering enhancements.\nThis role contributes to the development of security engineering talent by mentoring junior engineers and raising engineering standards without direct people management responsibility.\nThe role directly supports enterprise risk reduction objectives by ensuring security engineering capabilities evolve with the environment and threat landscape.\nYou'll Come With\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.\n7+ years of experience IT\n5+ technical cybersecurity experience (3+ years incident response and/or detection engineering)\nExpert level knowledge of detection engineering and incident response\nAt least 1 expert level cybersecurity certification such as CISSP, CASP, CCSP, etc.\nTarget Pay Range:$95,000 - $140,000annually\nThis position has a target starting salary range of $95,000 - $140,000 annually.
