This role partners closely with internal and external teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently and align with Burlington’s merchandising strategies, prototype standards, and operational needs. The position plays a key role in optimizing existing store environments to enhance space productivity, operational flow, and the overall customer experience.A Day in the Life\nProject Development:\nDevelop and produce store planning documents including remodel layouts, downsize plans, and fixture reflow plans using AutoCAD and external references\nAnalyze existing store conditions and create optimized layouts that improve adjacencies, customer flow, and selling space productivity\nAdapt Burlington prototype standards and merchandising strategies to non-prototypical and reduced-footprint environments\nMake scope of work recommendations based on store-specific conditions, operational needs, and budget guidelines; partner with leadership on exceptions\nMaintain a strong understanding of all Store Planning processes, standards, and merchandising initiatives and ensure plans remain compliant\nProject Administration:\nOversee remodel and downsize projects from inception to completion; maintain quality control and clear communication through all phases\nSupport phased remodel execution to minimize disruption to open store operations\nManage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload to meet deadlines\nPartner closely with Architectural Project Manager, Real Estate, Construction, Merchandising, and Field teams to align on scope, layout, and execution\nCoordinate with external architects and vendors to ensure accurate and timely deliverables\nCommunication changes that may impact schedules or store operations\nData & Document Management\nMaintain accurate store attributes and planning documentation in systems such as Lucernex and internal databases\nEnsure consistency, accuracy, and proper record-keeping for all remodel and downsize projects\nSupport continuous improvement of planning documentation standards and processes\nYou'll Come With\nBachelors degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field, or equivalent experience\n5-7 years of Store Planning / Retail Design experience required\nDemonstrated experience in store remodels, downsizing, and space optimization initiatives\nExperience working in open-store environments and phased construction preferred\nExperience adjusting prototypes to existing store conditions\nStrong proficiency in AutoCAD and X-Ref required\nBluebeam proficiency preferred\nSolid understanding of retail merchandising, fixture planning, and space optimization\n#LI-CG1\nCome join our team.
