This role requires a strong blend of project coordination, field team leadership, data management, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, data-intensive environment.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nCoordination of Data Acquisition:\n\nSupport the Regional MRV Manager with proximal supervision of all field data collection teams across Kenya.\nGuide the MRV Teams in execution of various studies, including but not limited to, feasibility studies, baseline and project carbon usage studies, and KPT (kitchen performance tests) studies.\nUtilize contemporary data collection tools and ensure data quality through verification and error correction.\nImplement SOPs and checklists for efficient data collection and analysis.\n\nProject Coordination:\n\nCoordinate several high-frequency, high-quality MRV projects simultaneously.\nMaintain a strategic project calendar and optimize resource allocation.\nUtilize their experience in setting up and operationalizing efficient Coordination in Kenya, while expanding MRV scope in the country.\nCoach upcoming Teams on budgetary discipline and maximizing utility of all resources availed to projects.\nEnsure local Teams’ output aligned with the business strategy.\n\nCollaboration & Communication:\n\nEscalate to the Regional MRV Manager, all issues affecting delivery of MRV department’s mandate, while leading efforts to gain localized solutions and best practices.\nSupport the Regional MRV Manager with assessment of expected project outcomes and customizing training materials to align with those desired outcomes.\nReview and provide best practice approaches to recruiting, mobilization and training of field enumerators.\nAct as a close collaboration officer for MRV in relation to broader Burn Teams and Departments.\n\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs):\n\nData Quality: Achieve and maintain consistently high data quality standards across all MRV and Feasibility studies, exceeding established metrics for accuracy, completeness, and reliability.\nProject Delivery: Deliver projects on time and within budget, meeting established deadlines and milestones with exceptional efficiency and minimal rework.\nCost Management: Operate a cost-effective MRV department, adhering to budgetary constraints while maximizing resource utilization and achieving optimal value for each project.\n\nSkills and Experience:\n\nIndividual will need excellent technical ability to carry out audit-like work in a data-heavy environment.\nRelevant technical data handling skills in areas of collection using tools like Kobo and basic analysis using Ms. Excel.\nTeam leadership and management of field teams in multiple locations.\nThe role-holder is expected to have strong field monitoring and evaluation skills including effective communication skills to constantly liaise with the team members to ensure all enumerators or team leaders are achieving both their qualitative and quantitative targets.\nThis specialist should also have effective communication skills to interact with team members or customers, as well as provide training as needed.\nPossess 3 to 5 years of experience in field team leadership and management in areas like data collection or sales.\nStrong experience in field teams’ leadership and management\nData collection using platforms and mobile apps like Kobo\nTeam coordination\nProject coordination\nProcess audit experience\n About the role The MRV Country Coordinator will serve as the country lead for Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) activities while acting as a quasi-Project Manager for all MRV-related projects across Kenya.
