U.S. Boiler Company is a subsidiary of Burnham Holdings, Inc.\nWe are seeking a Set-Up and Machine Operator to join our team! Under general supervision, sets-up and operates all machinery in department as necessary requiring the use of various types of measuring instruments, such as rules, gauges, calipers, etc. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing with set-up and machine operating, use of hand and power tools, ability to use and read measuring tools and blueprints.\nThis is a full-time, union-hourly position located in Lancaster, PA.Hours are Monday through Friday 6am to 2:30pm; Saturday's and Overtime as needed.\nEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nInstalls various types of machines, dies per verbal instructions and/or work orders.\nObtains dies, etc. from storage racks and installs by means of cranes, powered truck and/or hand truck.\nUses proper tools to set-in, tighten, level and adjust dies at correct tolerances for operation of machine.\nRemove dies as required.\nUses various types of measuring instruments, such as rules, gauges, calipers, etc.\nOperates all machinery in department as required.\nOperates powered truck and/or hand truck as required.\nMay be required to move material in and out of department.\nFrom blueprints provided, lay-out opening, shapes, etc., on sheet metal in flat position.\nUses various measuring instruments such as rules, calipers, straight-edge, squares, compass, scribe, dividers, etc.\nOperates various machines in department such as punch press brake, cutting machine as required.\nMay be required to operate powered truck and/or hand truck.\nRefers unusual problems to supervisor.\nPerforms other work as directed commensurate with this or lesser rated labor grades\nQualifications/Requirements:\nHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience\nMust be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and reach up to 7 feet\nExperience with hand, power, and measuring tools\nAbility to read blueprints and/or diagrams\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
