U.S. Boiler Company is a subsidiary of Burnham Holdings, Inc.\nWe are seeking a 3rd shift Boiler Assembler to join our team! This is a full-time, union-hourly position located in Lancaster, PA. 3rd SHIFT-Sunday, 8:30 PM - 5 AM; Monday-Thursday, 6:30 PM - 5 AM; Two Saturdays per month, 6:30 PM - 12:30 AM.Training pay is $21.87 per hour. After training, employees will earn incentive pay rate based on performance.\nThis position will work on a team to assemble residential boilers. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and have experience working with hand and power tools. \nEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nPrepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials\nUse a variety of hand and power tools following appropriate methods and procedures to complete mechanical assembly of components or products, and prepare products and other items for shipment\nAssembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies\nVerifies specifications by measuring and testing completed components\nMaintains inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; and contacting appropriate personnel to supply inventories\nDocuments actions by completing production and quality forms as needed\nContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed\nLine side material handling as required\nUtilize lifting hoists or manipulators as required\nPrepare for shipping finished product by palletizing, crating and loading as required\nUtilize computers, scanners and printers as required\nReport problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Supervisor\nMaintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management\nMust be willing to learn and practice continuous improvement techniques such as 5S, one piece flow, value stream mapping, set-up reduction, and more\nMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations\nCross train to other positions as needed\nProvide hands-on job function training to coworkers as needed\nPerforms related work as directed commensurate with this or lesser rated labor grade\nQualifications/Requirements:\nHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience\nExperience with hand and power tools\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
