We are looking for high-energy, bright, collaborative individuals who want the opportunity to “write their own story” with us.\nPosition Summary:\nAssists the senior engineering staff in the execution of the technical activities required on assigned projects and learns the discipline technical policies and procedures. Under supervision participates in technical studies, investigations and designs on assigned projects. Assists the project team in the production of projects on time, within budget and of high technical quality.\nEssential Duties/Responsibilities:\nLearns to understand company technical policies and procedures during the execution of projects for clients.\nUnder supervision assists in the execution of design processes on assigned projects and requests assistance from senior technical staff when needed.\nDetermines design criteria, drawing sequence and presentation, sizing various system components and refining rough sketches and notes to include material quantities and equipment specifications obtained from standard calculations and vendor catalogues.\nTechnical adequacy of non-routine work is reviewed during progress and on completion; routine work is reviewed upon completion.\nAssists the design team in the coordination of project designs with other disciplines.\nObserves and learns the execution of specific engineering studies and design analyses.\nAccompanies senior technical staff in performing on-site inspections during construction and learns how to communicate design requirements with contractors and equipment suppliers.\nActively participates in professional organizations where the technical reputation and image of the firm may be enhanced.\nKey Requirements/Qualifications:\nAssociate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two or more years of drafting and engineering technician experience.\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities: This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
