S/he will coordinate all transportation of persons served with the Transportation Supervisor.\nThis position offers….\nEmployee Assistance Program - 24/7 counseling services, legal assistance, & financial consultation for you and your household at no cost \nMileage Reimbursement - Company paid for work functions requiring travel \nEmployee Discounts - Hotels, Theme Parks & Attractions, College Tuition \nWorkplace Culture - An environment cultivating employee wellbeing, valuing each individual's humanity, and actively promoting a healthy, joyful workforce. \nAdditional Perks & Benefits - Scroll down to bottom of this post to learn more \nKey Responsibilities:\nRepresent the system Community Services and serve in a positive manner to clients, staff, community agencies, and community members. \nAdvocate for Clients. \nTreat all persons served, their families, staff, community agencies, and community members with dignity and respect. \nPrepare daily transportation routes utilizing internet mapping sources to ensure efficient and effective transportation operation meeting programming needs of persons served. \nRecord all persons picked up for transport each day at each stop. \nDocument client no-shows for pick up. Inform assigned team member of the client’s no-show from transportation services following a pick-up request. \nEnsure the safety of vehicles by implementing safety check procedures according to Preferred Community Services policies. Utilize the Vehicle Pre-Operational Checklist form to guide safety check at a minimum weekly. \nAttend/complete all required training. \nAdhere to all HIPAA requirements. \nAssist Transportation Supervisor with onsite support. Serve as a staff liaison and representative. \nServe as a member of the Health & Safety First Responder Team. Assist the Health & Safety Officer with general Health & Safety maintenance tasks as directed such as completion of monthly inventory checks of first aid and blood spill kits, monthly Office Safety Checklists, and annual Accessibility Survey. \nProvide transportation for Clients as schedule allows. \nWhen not transporting persons served, the Transporter may be requested to assist with such duties as filing, auditing of records of persons served, work order repairs, general office cleaning, and completion of errands as needed. \nOther duties as assigned. \nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nDemonstrates professional communication skills including the ability to read and write coherently and cohesively. \nDemonstrates personal characteristics suitable to provide a positive role model for persons served, their families, staff, community agencies, and community members. \nDemonstrates strong time management skills indicating the ability to complete all required paperwork on time and meet all timeline requirements. \nDemonstrates ability to drive and knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance. \nDemonstrates ability to maintain a positive attitude in the work environment. \nAcquires knowledge of Missouri Department of Mental Health Certification Standards governing program practices. \nExperience and/or Education Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma is required. \nSupervisory Requirements:\nNone \nEmployment Requirements:\nSuccessful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint check. \nCompletion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment. \nAll training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter. \nCurrent driver’s license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.. \nMust possess and maintain a Missouri Class E license. \nMust attain and maintain certification in CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogens. \nPhysical Requirements:\nADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up the 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
