This position will oversee facility management leads and technicians. The Director is responsible for ensuring departmental and organizational goals are being met, ensure procedures are being followed, and conduct site visits/reviews.\nEssential Job Functions:\nConduct walk through inspections of owned and leased facilities on a regular basis to confirm properties maintained.\nMonitor the work order system to ensure timely responses to requests as well as manage any workflow issues.\nAssist with development of an annual capital expenditure needs list. Communicate with local program directors on short and long term needs of the facility, assisting with any improvements or repairs as needed. \nResponsible for new vendor management and bid processes. \nProvide oversight of company vehicles in your region to ensure proper preventative maintenance.\nCoordinates and oversees that facilities are continuously in compliance and meeting C.A.R.F standards.\nEnsure timely submission of expenses and credit card reports for accounting processes.\nSupervision of employees. Provide ongoing communication and leadership to staff. \nAssist on construction projects, new location searches and coordinate office re-locations as needed. \nDemonstrates interest in long term and short-term goals and objectives of the company.\nOther duties as assigned.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nThorough knowledge of policies, procedures, equipment, materials and supplies related to construction, operation, maintenance and repair of facilities and infrastructure, landscape areas, and vehicles.\nExtensive knowledge of safety practices and principles related to maintenance activities including any applicable laws or regulations.\nAbility to plan, assign, schedule and review work of staff.\nCapable of effective communication and interaction with team members and the general public sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction. \nExperience and Education Qualifications:\nHigh School education or equivalent; AND\nMust possess four or more years in the building maintenance field, and/or four years of leadership experience. \nSupervisory Requirements:\nCommunicate the strategic direction of the organization and encourage participation by all team members.\nProvide leadership and guidance to all aspects of the department.\nTake an active role in monitoring the identification, development, and execution of strategic objectives.\nInvolve, as appropriate, all team members to achieve goals.\nEffectively communicate to team members any changes and newsworthy events within the department or company.\nHandle difficult team member situations directly, using appropriate discretion and Human Resource advice to show respect for the individual\nChampion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas.\nReinforces team approach throughout functions; support and solicit input from team members at all levels within the company.\nEmployment Requirements:\nSuccessful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint check.\nCompletion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.\nAll training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.\nCurrent driver’s license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.\nPhysical Requirements:\nADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up the 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.\nSedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
