This pivotal leadership role is responsible for driving the strategic direction, growth, and operational excellence of Burson's Technology practice across France. Reporting directly to the CEO/Managing Director of Burson France, you will be critical in identifying and securing new business opportunities, ensuring high-quality client delivery, fostering team development, and championing innovation within the Burson brand. You will play a key role in protecting and promoting Burson's distinct approach to technology communications, directly contributing to the practice's revenue targets and elevating our reputation as a market leader.\nWhat You'll Do:\nStrategic growth and business development:\nOwn and drive technology revenue growth across France, identifying, securing, and expanding high-value client relationships.\nLead market-facing new business development, proactively originating opportunities, opening doors with net-new clients, and personally leading major pitches and conversions.\nBuild Burson’s technology proposition in France, expanding our footprint with existing clients, scaling multi-market engagements, and integrating broader Burson capabilities to deliver greater client value. \nClient leadership and financial management:\nServe as a trusted senior advisor to France's most influential technology clients, providing strategic counsel to C-suite and senior stakeholders on complex communication challenges and program implementation.\nBe accountable for overall profitability, quality, relationship management, and client satisfaction for all technology accounts.\nManage practice finances, including budget development, management, resourcing, and forecasting for the technology practice.\nTeam leadership and talent development:\nBuild, lead, and inspire a high-performing Technology team in France, creating a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and excellence.\nEnsure the right capabilities are in place to support growth, providing mentorship, identifying development gaps, and implementing training initiatives.\nThought leadership and innovation:\nChampion innovation and modern delivery, embedding emerging technologies, AI-enabled solutions, and new IP into client offerings to enhance impact, efficiency, and differentiation.\nPossess an excellent understanding of the evolving media landscape and demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple internal stakeholders, including Burson’s regional and global network.\nExperience that contributes to success:\nA strong track record of building, growing, and leading a technology practice or significant technology portfolio in France (or a similar mature European market), ideally within a communications, consulting, or professional services environment.\nSenior client advisory gravitas, with the ability to counsel, influence, and build trust with C-suite and senior government or enterprise stakeholders.\nDemonstrable success in new business origination and growth, with experience winning complex, high-value mandates in competitive and fast-evolving markets.\nDeep understanding of the French business and cultural landscape, with the credibility and networks to operate effectively across diverse markets and client environments.\nExcellent interpersonal communication skills and proven people leadership experience.\nExpertise and curiosity within the technology sector, with a clear view of emerging trends, innovation, and disruption shaping client needs.\nNative-level fluency in French (written and spoken) and professional fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.\nAbout Burson:\nBurson, part of WPP, is the global communications leader built to create value for clients through reputation.
