You will contribute to Burson Genesis’s performance by managing media and integrated communication (IC) programs, satisfying, and delighting clients, leading the team to work on strategy and execution of communications plans in collaboration with marketing and brand teams of respective relations clients.\nWhat you'll do:\nOverseeing communications with the media, including preparing, editing, and proofreading articles, press kits, press releases, website postings, and other content.\nDevelops, pitches and places positive stories by and about the client in appropriate business, trade and consumer media\nCultivate and nurture relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers, influencers and media professionals.\nStrong written and verbal communication skill\nOversees press events and takes part in media trainings, including drafting scenarios, and handle complex media inquiries.\nAddressing crisis situations promptly and directly, correcting misinformation, etc.\nNetworking and coordination with media and influencers for interviews, articles, and relevant forums\nCreate and maintain an active press calendar, media database & journalise profiles.\nProvide regular media coverage reports to internal stakeholders\nImplementing analytical strategies to identify potential for improvement of media relations and creating reports on media communications activities and results with actionable suggestions for improvement.\nEstablish relationships with stakeholders & collaborate with various departments like Finance, HR, Marketing, Compliance etc.\nAI-Powered Intelligence & Performance\nEmbeds Burson proprietary AI tools as a core part of the marketing workflow - applying them to competitor research, content development, campaign performance analysis, and audience strategy to make marketing decisions faster and more informed. \nSocial Influencer Skills\nStay updated on social media trends and build relationships with key influencers and community contacts to optimize channels.\nExperience that contributes to success:\nGraduate or Postgraduate in any stream or professional qualification in the field of public relations or marketing communication\n7+ years of work experience of handling media relations in a PR agency and has a significant network of connections with media outlets, reporters, etc.\nYou must possess a strong familiarity with how Generative AI tools are used across communications programmes, especially in planning, research, ideation, content creation, and daily operations to drive relevance and efficiency.\nYou belong at Burson:\nOur vision is for Burson to be the leading ‘academy company’ for creative communications professionals and emerging leaders.
