Our products and technologies include electric propulsion systems, chemical propulsion, advanced materials, and precision manufacturing technologies that support commercial, civil, and Department of Defense space programs.\nJoin our team to work on cutting-edge projects that are shaping the future of space exploration.\nPosition Overview\nBusek is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor - Propellant Management Assembly (PMA) to lead daily manufacturing operations supporting the assembly and integration of precision propulsion hardware. This role is responsible for supervising manufacturing technicians, coordinating production activities, and ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely manufacture of high-quality aerospace components.\nThe Manufacturing Supervisor will work closely with Engineering, Production Planning, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management to support prototype development, production builds, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys developing people, solving manufacturing challenges, and building a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupervise and support the daily activities of Manufacturing Technicians within the Propellant Management Assembly (PMA) team.\nEnsure manufacturing activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality requirements.\nCoordinate production priorities with Engineering, Planning, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management to meet delivery commitments.\nMonitor production schedules and proactively identify and resolve labor, material, equipment, and process constraints.\nSupport the precision assembly and integration of propulsion hardware, fluid systems, valves, tubing, tanks, and other mechanical assemblies.\nPartner with Engineering to support New Product Introduction (NPI), prototype builds, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and process improvements.\nTrain, coach, mentor, and develop manufacturing personnel while promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning.\nConduct daily production meetings and communicate priorities across functional teams.\nMonitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.\nAssist with hiring, onboarding, employee development, and performance management.\nSupport root cause investigations and corrective actions related to manufacturing, quality, and production issues.\nPromote and maintain a safe, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment.\nMaintain accurate production metrics and provide regular status updates to management.\nSupport capacity planning, staffing, and resource allocation to meet changing business demands.\nWork hours, 8:45am - 5:15pm \nQualifications\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will also be considered.\nFive or more years of experience in a precision manufacturing environment.\nPrevious supervisory or team leadership experience.\nExperience supporting precision mechanical or electromechanical assembly operations.\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and quality systems.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly documentation, and manufacturing work instructions.\nStrong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nPreferred Skills\nExperience supervising technicians in a precision manufacturing environment.\nExperience with mechanical, electromechanical, or fluid system assemblies.\nFamiliarity with tube bending, precision fittings, torque specifications, leak testing, and clean assembly techniques.\nExperience supporting prototype development and low-volume, high-mix manufacturing.\nERP/MRP system experience (Epicor experience is a plus).\nExperience working in an ITAR-regulated manufacturing environment.\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.\nExperience collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply
