We are a growing company focused on technical excellence, quality, and solving challenging problems in the space industry.\nPosition Summary\nBusek is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure that purchased materials, components, and services meet company quality requirements and applicable aerospace standards. This role works closely with suppliers, Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to resolve supplier quality issues, improve supplier performance, and support the delivery of reliable, high-quality products.\nThe ideal candidate has experience working with suppliers in a manufacturing or aerospace environment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments. This position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to the quality and reliability of advanced spacecraft propulsion systems.\nEssential Functions\nEvaluate, qualify, and monitor suppliers to ensure compliance with Busek quality requirements, engineering specifications, and applicable industry standards.\n\nConduct supplier assessments, audits, and evaluations to verify quality systems, manufacturing processes, and compliance with contractual requirements.\n\nReview supplier documentation, including inspection reports, certificates of conformance, material certifications, and other required quality records.\n\nInvestigate supplier nonconformances and drive corrective and preventive actions through resolution.\n\nWork with suppliers to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence of quality issues.\n\nSupport the review and disposition of nonconforming materials and components in coordination with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality.\n\nMonitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, responsiveness, and corrective action effectiveness.\n\nCollaborate with Procurement and Engineering during supplier selection, new product introduction, and changes to materials, components, or manufacturing processes.\n\nReview drawings, specifications, purchase order requirements, and inspection criteria to help ensure supplier compliance.\n\nSupport incoming inspection activities and the resolution of material and component discrepancies.\n\nMaintain supplier quality records, audit documentation, corrective action reports, and performance metrics.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve supplier quality processes, reduce defects, and strengthen supplier relationships.\n\nSupport compliance with applicable aerospace quality standards, including AS9100D and ISO 9001, as appropriate to the role.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\n\nExperience in supplier quality, quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related role in a manufacturing environment.\n\nFamiliarity with quality management systems, supplier corrective action processes, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.\n\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, inspection requirements, and material certifications.\n\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.\n\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and follow quality issues through to resolution.\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to maintain accurate technical records.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in the aerospace, defense, space, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.\n\nFamiliarity with AS9100D, ISO 9001, and applicable aerospace quality requirements.\n\nExperience conducting supplier audits or supplier qualification activities.\n\nKnowledge of manufacturing processes, inspection methods, metrology, and material traceability.\n\nExperience with nonconformance management, corrective and preventive action (CAPA), 8D problem solving, and root cause analysis.\n\nFamiliarity with counterfeit parts prevention and configuration management.\n\nExperience working with precision-machined components, electronic
