Your duties may also include training new employees and maintaining open communication with other departments during the design process.\nResponsibilities:\nIntegration of user facing elements developed by front end developers with server side logic\nBe involved and participate in the overall application lifecycle\nBuild high quality reusable code libraries for future implementation\nImplementing security structures and its best practices\nConceptualizing and implementing data storage solutions\nMaintain server stability with zero downtime\nConfiguring the backend usability for all frontend applications\nImprove our code quality through writing unit tests, automation and performing code reviews\nWork with product and design teams to understand end user requirements, formulate use cases, and then translate that into a pragmatic and effective technical solution\nWriting clean scalable and efficient codes\nTroubleshooting and debugging to optimise performance\nRoutinely inspect server code for speed optimization\nAttend regular meetings with the frontend team to expose weakness and problems\nStay up to date with current best practices\nProvide code documentation and other inputs to technical documents\nThe ideal candidate must have;\nA minimum of 5 years relevant experience\nProven work experience as a backend developer\nExperienced with software engineering best practices\nIn-depth understanding of data structures and other computer science fundamentals\nFluency or understanding in Golang, Messaging Queues and Database/Operating systems\nUnderstanding of accessibility and server compliance\nStrong understanding of the web development cycle, programing techniques and tools \nNice to haves;\nExcellent analytical and time
