Busha Pro is our spot exchange for crypto and fiat, where speed, reliability and security are essential to delivering a seamless trading experience for our users.\nThe Opportunity\nThis is an opportunity to work on the engineering behind a live exchange where speed, reliability and accuracy matter.\nYou will take ownership of and improve the systems responsible for processing orders, matching trades and supporting exchange operations: operating them in production, making them faster and extending them safely.\nOverview\n\nWe are looking for someone who understands more than just writing code. You should understand how trading systems work, how to build them reliably at scale and how to solve the technical challenges that come with real-time transactions.\nYou will have meaningful ownership of technical decisions, shape the platform's architecture and work closely with the wider team to turn product requirements into reliable, production-ready systems.\nResponsibilities\nTake ownership of the Busha Pro exchange: learn the codebase deeply, operate it in production and harden it.\nDesign, build and optimize the backend systems that power Busha Pro’s trading capabilities.\nDevelop and improve matching engine components, order books, order processing and trade execution workflows. Keep matching deterministic and consistent under peak load, with no crossed books, ghost fills or stale order state.\nBuild reliable systems that can handle high transaction volumes while maintaining speed, accuracy and consistency.\nWork on APIs (REST, WebSocket, and later FIX), real-time market data, event-driven services and integrations that connect different parts of the trading platform.\nImprove system performance, reduce latency and identify bottlenecks before they become production issues. Benchmark and profile the matching path, load-test against realistic traffic and measure every change against a baseline.\nBuild safeguards that help maintain accurate order processing, transaction integrity and reliable system recovery: pre-trade risk checks, price bands, circuit breakers, kill switches, failover and disaster recovery.\nKeep the ledger exact: trades and fees settled atomically, real-time balances, and crypto and fiat deposits and withdrawals reconciled against custody and banking records.\nAdd trading pairs, order types (such as OCO, take-profit and stop-loss) and features, released with zero downtime.\nAnalyze business product requirements and propose effective technical solutions.\nWrite clean, testable and maintainable code, and participate in code reviews and technical design discussions. Test matching and ledger invariants with simulation and replay.\nTake ownership of features from design and implementation through testing, deployment and ongoing monitoring.\nShare the on-call rotation for production trading systems.\nCollaborate with Product, Engineering and DevOps to deliver key technical priorities.\nShare your knowledge, support other engineers and contribute to strong engineering practices.\nWhat We're Looking For\n5-7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong backend development experience.\nStrong in Go, or strong in Rust, C++ or Java and willing to work primarily in Go.\nHands-on experience building, operating or improving trading systems, exchange infrastructure, matching engines or comparable real-time transaction-processing platforms.\nA solid understanding of order books, order lifecycles, matching logic and trade execution.\nExperience building systems where performance, concurrency, reliability and data consistency are critical, including idempotency, exactly-once processing and recovery from partial failures.\nExperience working on systems that require low latency, high availability and predictable execution under heavy load.\nStrong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, databases and distributed systems.\nExperience designing APIs, event-driven services and scalable backend architectures.\nGood judgment in an existing codebase: you improve a live system in small, safe steps rather than reaching for a rewrite.\nPerformance work grounded in measurement: profiling, latency percentiles (p99 and above), and memory and garbage-collection tuning.\nWorking knowledge of Linux internals (threading, CPU and NUMA effects, system calls) and TCP/UDP networking.\nA practical approach to testing, debugging, performance optimisation and production reliability, including testing that proves correctness through simulation, fuzzing or replaying production traffic.\nYou've run what you built in production, including on-call and incident response, and can debug across the OS, network and application layers.\nThe ability to take ownership of complex technical work and deliver it with minimal supervision.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical decisions clearly.\nRequirements\nExperience at a cryptocurrency exchange, financial trading platform or electronic market.\nFamiliarity with risk controls, settlement or market data infrastructure.\nCrypto infrastructure: wallets, custody, blockchain nodes, deposit and withdrawal pipelines.\nFiat payment rails: bank transfers, local payment networks, settlement and reconciliation.\nThe FIX protocol, event sourcing, or low-latency patterns such as the LMAX Disruptor.\nExperience with market surveillance, regulatory reporting or audits at a regulated venue.\nTypeScript/Node.js for services, gateways or internal tools around the engine.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nYou'll help us build trading systems that are reliable, performant and ready to scale.
