The ideal candidate will work across a wide range of AI use cases, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, multi-agent architectures, and intelligent workflows, taking ownership of the full lifecycle from concept to production.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and maintain end-to-end AI applications, from data ingestion and model integration to deployment and monitoring\nBuild and optimize RAG pipelines, including document ingestion, embedding strategies, vector databases, and retrieval logic\nDesign and implement multi-agent systems, coordinating autonomous agents to solve complex tasks\nIntegrate LLMs and AI services into scalable, production-grade systems\nDevelop robust backend services and APIs using Python\nDeploy, monitor, and scale AI solutions on Azure, leveraging cloud-native services\nEnsure reliability, security, observability, and performance of AI systems in production\nCollaborate with product managers, data scientists, and software engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions\nStay up to date with emerging AI frameworks, protocols, and best practices\nRequired Skills & Qualifications\nStrong proficiency in Python for production-grade software development\nProven experience building AI/LLM-based applications (e.g., RAG, agents, conversational systems)\nSolid understanding of the end-to-end AI lifecycle: data ingestion, preprocessing, model usage, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring\nHands-on experience with Azure Cloud, including deploying and operating AI services\nKnowledge of key AI communication and orchestration protocols, such as MCP and A2A\nExperience designing APIs and backend services (REST, async systems, streaming where applicable)\nFamiliarity with vector databases, embeddings, and information retrieval techniques\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously on complex systems\nNice to Have\nExperience with multi-agent frameworks and orchestration patterns\nFamiliarity with MLOps / LLMOps practices\nExperience with security, access control, and compliance in AI systems\nExposure to frontend integration or full-stack AI applications\nWhat we offer\nThe salary range for this position is between €75,000 and €85,000 gross per year, depending on the candidate’s experience, skills, and level of seniority.\nThe employment level and classification will be determined during the recruitment process based on the selected candidate’s profile and in compliance with applicable regulations and the Metalmeccanici Industria Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL).\nThe salary indicated refers solely to the Gross Annual Salary (RAL).\nThe overall compensation package may also include additional variable components linked to the achievement of specific individual and/or company objectives, as well as welfare programs and company benefits.
