A typical day might include reviewing automation runs and addressing failures, documenting test cases to cover a new product or feature and creating new automated test cases. As a member of a scrum team, your collaboration and contribution to the team will be critical to our success.\nThe Gig:\nResponsible for the design, creation and maintenance of UI and API test scripts.\n\nDocument new and maintain existing Test Cases using Xray Test Management.\n\nDevelop new and maintain existing Cucumber Test Scripts to sustain >80% automated test coverage.\n\nExtend test coverage by documenting and automating test cases from production bugs.\n\nAnalyze Runlists to identify long running steps or processes that can be tuned and optimized.\n\nContribute to Test Case design and Test Planning discussions to maximize quality thinking and test coverage.\n\nParticipate as a member of a Scrum Team, holding yourself and your team mates accountable to commitments and daily progress.\n\nWork through technical challenges with appropriate level of urgency.\n\nCollaborate with team mates to stay aligned on sprint goals and maintain steady flow of work (keep your goals clear and yourself unblocked).\n\nWork with Software Engineers across scrum teams to maintain consistent Test Engineering practices.\n\nApply software design principals to create maintainable and solid UI test scripts.\n\nPeer review Cucumber Scripts and provide feedback for improvement.\n\nEstimate work and maintain predictable throughput toward sprint goals.\n\nPractice continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve our test coverage and automation framework.\n\nIntegrate test automation with and maintain CICD across environments.\n\nDefine data, rules and testing requirements.\n\nCreate, setup and maintain test data.\n\nSet up and modify test company for automation.\n\nElevate other team members by sharing your expertise and providing mentorship.\n\nEvangelize quality and test automation.\n\nPerform manual testing as needed\n\nCollaborate with Product and Developers to clarify product and system requirements ensuring the best possible test strategy.\n\nEvaluate failing tests to determine root cause.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nComply with all policies and standards.\n\nWhat you need to make the cut:\nBachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.\n\n3+ years experience Automating Tests for a SaaS product.\n\nBasic understanding of Software as a Service.\n\nExperience applying testing and quality practices such as Test Case documentation, Test Plans, Acceptance Testing, Regression Testing, Test Coverage, Defect Detection.\n\nProficient at scripting tests using Cucumber (Gherkin).\n\nComfortable working with testing tools such as Xray, HP Quality center, TestRail, Eclipse IDE, Gitlab, Selenium, Postman and SoapUI.\n\nExperience with programming languages such as Java, XML, HTML, CSS, Javascript is a plus.\n\nComfortable documenting and tracking project work within ALM tools such as Jira and Confluence.\n\nExperience working on a team of 5 or more software and test engineers in an all remote environment.\n\nExperience working with Distributed Version Control Systems such as Git.\n\nComfortable using using Windows, Linux and iOS.\n\nExperience with benefits administration a plus.\n\nAbility to balance conflicting priorities and manage time effectively.\n\nStrong oral and written communication skills.\n\nComfortable using MS Tools such as Teams, Word, Outlook, Sharepoint, PPT, etc.\n\nKeen attention to detail.\n\nStrong sense of ownership and personal accountability.\n\nFollows tasks through to completion.\n\nExperience with AWS, docker, Jest, SQL, and Liquibase a plus.\n\nAbility to troubleshoot failing tests with limited information.\n\nExperience defining, estimating and tracking test automation work.\n\nStrong understanding of Agile and CI/CD practices.\n\nThe pay range for this position is 65K to 95K per year (pay to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data). \nThis role is eligible to participate in the quarterly bonus incentive plan.\nOther Compensation: If this position is full-time or part-time benefit eligible, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package which can be viewed here: https://businessolver.foleon.com/bsc/job-board-businessolver-virtual-benefits-guide/ \nDear Applicant.\nAt Businessolver, we take our responsibility to protect our clients, employees, and company seriously and that begins with the hiring process. \nOur approach is thoughtful and thorough.
