This role ensures the warehouse operates with maximum efficiency, organization, and safety, guaranteeing inventory accuracy is maintained across all processes. The Inventory Operations Supervisor will coordinate closely with the Listing Operations Manager and the Order Fulfillment Supervisor to maintain a seamless flow of goods.\nResponsibilities\nInventory Receiving and Staging:\nOversee the unloading of all incoming trucks, ensuring correct and accurate receipt of goods.\nManage the process of accurately receiving loads, attributing them to the correct manifests, and coordinating with the Listing Operations Manager on the flow of goods to be processed.\nDirect the accurate labeling and storage of all palletized inventory within the warehouse.\nEnsure all inventory is staged in correct locations and is properly labeled by manifest.\nMaster and implement BuyWander's proprietary inventory management system to ensure accurate tracking.\nWarehouse Operations and Organization:\nAdhere to and enforce 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) for warehouse organization and cleanliness.\nIdentify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.\nLead the Put Away/Stowing process after grading is complete, ensuring inventory is stored accurately and efficiently.\nOversee aisle maintenance and overall warehouse hygiene and safety.\nConduct regular inventory scans and audits to ensure control and accuracy.\nManage warehouse space and organization to optimize workflow.\nOrder Fulfillment and Picking:\nDirect and lead all picking of customer orders each day, ensuring fast and efficient service.\nManage the process of Pull Waves and ensure they are completed promptly to keep inventory flowing.\nCoordinate with the Order Fulfillment Supervisor to ensure picked orders are staged correctly for the Quality Assurance (QA) process.\nMaintain tight control over warehouse hygiene and procedures to ensure that the Lost Item count remains low.\nTeam Leadership and Equipment:\nEnsure safe operation and maintenance of all warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.\nProvide training, guidance, and support to team members assigned to inventory-related tasks.\nAct as Person-In-Charge as needed when other managers are not on duty.\nTrack and report on performance metrics related to picking efficiency and inventory accuracy.\nReporting and Coordination:\nCoordinate closely with the Listing Operations Manager to manage the flow of inventory into processing.\nCoordinate closely with the Order Fulfillment Supervisor to manage the flow of inventory out of the warehouse via picking.\nProvide regular reports to the General Manager on warehouse organization, inventory control status, safety compliance, Pull Wave completion status, and picking efficiency.\nRequirements\nQualifications\nProven experience in a warehouse, inventory, or logistics environment.\nDemonstrated experience managing workflow, inventory, and operational processes.\nProven leadership and supervisory skills.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy.\nForklift certification required.\nFluent with technology and able to use various computer and phone programs.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to follow instructions, work independently, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.\nPhysical Requirements\nThis role involves sustained physical activity throughout the shift. The following are bona fide requirements of the position:\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.\nAbility to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.\nAbility to bend, stoop, and reach overhead frequently.\nAbility to work at a fast pace in a goal-driven environment.\nPosition requires seeing, hearing, use of hands and fingers, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities.\nMust be able to communicate with others including talking, hearing, and listening and exchanging communication.\nThis position requires working both indoors and outdoors as business needs require.
