We push boundaries to deliver exceptional results for our clients - and create meaningful impact for the communities we serve.\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking an organised, detail-driven professional to take on a combined role of Quality Assurance (QA) Checker and Common Data Environment (CDE)Document Controller and Project Programmer. This position is ideal for an experienced individual with a strong understanding of engineering documentation standards, quality processes, and regulatory requirements within the UK structural and civil engineering sector.\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all technical outputs, project documentation, and controlled records are accurate, that the technical delivery is planned as the technical leaders require and that output is compliant with auditory requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nQuality Assurance (QA) Checker\nReview engineering drawings, reports, specifications, and calculations for quality assurance compliance.\n\nVerify and insist on compliance with internal quality procedures, industry standards (e.g., Client Bim Execution Plans (BEPS)), and client requirements.\n\nConduct pre-issue checks to ensure documents are technically complete and meet company formatting and quality guidelines (not the engineering content).\n\nSupport project teams in identifying quality issues, providing feedback, and suggesting corrective actions.\n\nEngage with project delivery teams on a weekly basis to provide and update the internal delivery programmes (Generally done on MS project)\n\nEnsure adherence to ISO 9001 quality management processes and participate in internal audits where required.\n\nDocument Controller\nLead and manage document control activities across multiple projects, ensuring efficient document workflows.\n\nTrain engineering teams in the use of Common Data Environments (CDE’s) and ensure that these platforms are used appropriately\n\nMaintain accurate records using document management systems, including Autodesk Docs for document issues\n\nOversee the registration, tracking, and distribution of drawings, models, specifications, and other project documents.\n\nEnsure version control practices are followed.\n\nCoordinate incoming and outgoing transmittals with clients, contractors, and third parties.\n\nTrain or support junior staff in document control procedures.\n\nMaintain project filing structures in accordance with company and ISO standards.\n\nSkills & Experience Required\nEssential\nStrong understanding of engineering documentation, drawing standards, and QA processes.\n\nProven experience using digital document management systems.\n\nExceptional attention to detail with a methodical and organised approach.\n\nStrong communication skills.\n\nAbility to work independently and manage workload efficiently in a part-time capacity.\n\nDesirable\nPrevious experience in a structural or civil engineering consultancy.\n\nExperience with ISO 9001 quality management systems.\n\nFamiliarity with BIM workflows and COBie documentation.\n\nExperience using MS project\n\nKnowledge of UK construction and engineering standards.\n\nExperience supporting multi-disciplinary project teams.\n\nPersonal Attributes\nProactive and solution-focused.\n\nHigh level of integrity.\n\nComfortable managing both routine tasks and more complex QA responsibilities.\n\nStrong commitment to maintaining quality and consistency across all documentation.\n\nUnderstanding of workflows and processes\n\nWhat we offer\nInclusive Culture -
