Headquartered in McLean, VA, By Light supports defense, civilian, and commercial IT customers worldwide.\nPosition Overview\nThis role requires close collaboration with internal teams, external suppliers, and government stakeholders and involves occasional travel to customer sites or supplier locations. The program reserves the right to require on-site work if program execution and success dictates.\nThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 9:00a a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.\nResponsibilities\nDesigns and implements self-healing networks\nDocuments the network configuration including documentation of maintenance procedures for the network.\nTroubleshoots routing, switching and multicast faults\nConfigures and troubleshoots RADIUS, SYSLOG, NTP, OSPF, Auto-RP\nDesigns and monitors network load balancing, route cost patterns, overall system health, etc. and advises on need for potential upgrades or reconfigurations\nIdentifies the need to upgrade or enhance network component capabilities\nHardens networking infrastructure as appropriate, balancing customer Availability/Integrity/Confidentiality needs.\nResolves IAVA/STIG findings as appropriate, providing proper documentation and/or justification to A&A personnel\nProvides on-site technical and operational support in the installation and operation of any/all telecommunications equipment\nConducts site surveys to determine feasibility of equipment installations (e.g. telecommunications, electrical, temperature/humidity, cleanliness, space/weight, maintainability, logistical support)\nPerforms other duties as required\nMentors other IT personnel as needed\nRequired Experience/Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience\nMust meet DoD 8570 IAT II requirements\nExperience designing and implementing self-healing networks\nExpert understanding of Cisco and/or Juniper technologies\nExpert understanding of networking protocols\nExperience in cross-platform networking environments\nExperience in setting up workstation, server, switch, and router configurations\nExpert level experience in the
