You will deliver high-quality audit work, drive project execution, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the audit framework under the direction of the Head of Internal Audit (EU).\nThis is a hands-on execution role - you will personally conduct audit fieldwork, produce deliverables, and manage individual audit projects end-to-end. The position reports to the Head of Internal Audit (EU) and works closely with external consultants, co-sourcing partners, regulators, and the Global IA team.\nKey Responsibilities\nPlan and execute risk-based internal audits end-to-end across finance, operations, compliance, IT, and cybersecurity - owning individual engagements from scoping through to report issuance.\n\nSupport the Head of IA in developing and maintaining the internal audit framework and annual audit plan for Bybit EU.\n\nCollaborate with the Global Internal Audit team to align with group standards, methodologies, and best practices; contribute to global audit projects as needed.\n\nSupport the transition from outsourced audits to in-house capability - coordinate with co-sourcing partners on project delivery, review their work products for quality, and flag gaps to the Head of IA.\n\nAssess and monitor adherence to Austrian and EU regulatory requirements, ensuring early identification and remediation of control weaknesses.\n\nPerform detailed, ground-level audit work where required - including walkthroughs, testing, and issue validation - to ensure audit depth and accuracy.\n\nPrepare clear, well-structured audit reports - documenting findings, root causes, and remediation recommendations - and present results to the Head of IA and relevant stakeholders.\n\nStay current on regulatory developments (MiCA, MiFID II, GDPR, AMLD, DORA, and EMI frameworks) and emerging crypto/fintech risks - proactively flagging implications for the audit plan.\n\nCoordinate and track remediation of findings to ensure timely and effective resolution.\n\nWork cross-functionally with Compliance, Risk, Finance, Operations, IT, and Product teams to strengthen the overall control environment.\n\nContribute to continuous improvement in audit processes - leveraging data analytics (SQL, Python, AI tools) and proposing efficiency gains.\n\nRequired Qualifications & Skills\n7-10 years of experience in internal audit or related risk/control functions within financial services, fintech, or crypto.\n\nStrong and up-to-date knowledge of Austrian and EU regulatory frameworks.\n\nHands-on approach: able to perform audits personally when needed and comfortable “rolling up sleeves.”\n\nProfessional certifications (CIA, CISA, CAMS, ICA, etc.) are required, reflecting a solid technical foundation in audit and compliance.\n\nExcellent written and spoken German and English for effective communication with regulators and senior stakeholders.\n\nOutstanding project management skills, capable of managing multiple audits and deadlines concurrently.\n\nStrong presentation and communication abilities, with experience reporting findings and recommendations to senior management.\n\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a global organization structure with cross-regional stakeholders.\n\nAdaptable, self-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing priorities.\n\nKnowledge of Web3 and crypto ecosystems is a strong plus\n\nWhy Join Us\nAt Bybit, we are committed to fostering a supportive and enriching work environment. \nOur benefits include:\n- Study Growth Fund: We support your professional development and continuous learning.\n- Internal Events: Participate in regular team-building activities, workshops, and events designed to promote collaboration and innovation.\n- Global Collaboration: Be part of a diverse, international team, working alongside colleagues from around the world.\n- Career Advancement: Access opportunities for growth and advancement within a rapidly expanding global company.\n- Internal Mobility: Grow with us- Your long-term development is important to us.
