the Role\nByteBridge is looking for a Cabling Solution Engineer to support the design, costing and delivery of structured cabling and data center infrastructure solutions.\nThis role will work closely with the Sales, Pre-Sales, Engineering and Project teams to develop practical and cost-effective cabling solutions for data centers, offices and other critical IT environments.\nThe ideal candidate should have strong hands-on knowledge of copper and fiber cabling, with the ability to understand customer requirements, conduct site surveys, prepare technical solutions and support projects through implementation.\nKey Responsibilities\nConduct site surveys and gather technical requirements for structured cabling and data center infrastructure projects.\n\nDesign copper and fiber optic cabling solutions based on customer requirements and site conditions.\n\nPrepare cabling layouts, cable schedules, pathway requirements, rack elevations and related technical documentation.\n\nDevelop Bill of Materials (BOM) and support project costing and quotation preparation.\n\nPerform cable quantity take-off based on drawings, layouts and site conditions.\n\nRecommend suitable cabling products, components and installation methods.\n\nSupport solutions involving:\nCopper structured cabling (Cat6 / Cat6A)\n\nFiber optic cabling (SMF / MMF)\n\nHigh-density fiber solutions\n\nPatch panels, fiber panels and connectivity\n\nCabinets and server racks\n\nCable trays, ladder racks and containment\n\nOverhead and underfloor cable management\n\nRack-to-rack and network connectivity\n\nReview drawings, specifications, tender documents and customer requirements.\n\nPrepare technical proposals, solution presentations and scope of work.\n\nSupport Sales and Pre-Sales teams during customer discussions and tender submissions.\n\nWork with vendors and suppliers on product selection, pricing and technical compliance.\n\nCoordinate with Project Managers and site teams to ensure the proposed solution can be implemented effectively.\n\nProvide technical clarification and troubleshooting support during project execution.\n\nSupport testing, labeling, documentation and final project handover.\n\nEnsure cabling designs and installations follow applicable industry standards and customer requirements.\n\nRequirements\nDiploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, IT or related discipline.\n\nAround 3-5 years of experience in structured cabling, ICT infrastructure, data center infrastructure or a related field.\n\nGood knowledge of copper and fiber optic cabling systems.\n\nFamiliar with fiber termination, splicing, patching and testing concepts.\n\nUnderstanding of data center racks, network cabinets, cable pathways and cable management systems.\n\nAble to interpret floor plans, cabling layouts, rack elevations and technical drawings.\n\nExperience preparing BOM, costing, quotations or technical proposals is highly preferred.\n\nFamiliarity with structured cabling standards such as TIA/EIA and ISO/IEC is an advantage.\n\nExperience with cabling brands such as Siemon, CommScope, Panduit, Corning, Belden, R&M or equivalent is advantageous.\n\nAutoCAD or similar drawing experience would be an advantage.\n\nStrong communication and coordination skills.\n\nAble to work independently and manage multiple project requirements in a fast-paced environment.\n\nWilling to travel or attend project sites when required.\n\nPreferred Experience\nCandidates with experience in the following will have an advantage:\nData center white space fit-out\n\nHyperscale or colocation data center projects\n\nStructured cabling design and implementation\n\nFiber backbone and high-density fiber deployment\n\nRack & stack projects\n\nTender preparation and technical costing\n\nSite survey and solution design\n\nTesting and certification of copper/fiber cabling\n\nWorking with contractors, vendors and data center
