Your primary responsibility will be operating a forklift to load, unload, and move materials as per organizational requirements.Duties and Responsibilities:\nForklift Operation:Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to handle incoming and outgoing materials and products.\nLoad and unload materials from trucks, pallets, racks, and shelves using the forklift.\nTransport materials to designated storage areas or production lines as per work orders or instructions.\nConduct pre-operational checks on the forklift to ensure its proper functioning.\nAdhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating the forklift to prevent accidents or injuries.\n\nInventory Management:Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by recording incoming and outgoing materials.\nPerform periodic physical counts of inventory to reconcile discrepancies and ensure accuracy.\nIdentify and report any inventory shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.\n\nWarehouse Support:Support warehouse operations by performing various tasks such as picking, packing, and labeling as needed.\nCollaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and efficient workflow.\nMaintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area to promote a safe working environment.\n\nQuality and Compliance:Handle materials and products with care to prevent damage or contamination, particularly in a food manufacturing environment.\nAdhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.\nReport any quality issues, safety hazards, or non-compliance incidents to supervisors immediately.\n\nFlexibility to work overtime and non-standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.\nPerform all other duties as assigned.\nMinimum Job Requirements:\nEducation/Certifications and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nPrevious experience working in food manufacturing or a similar production environment, preferred.\nProven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. \nFamiliarity with food safety regulations (FSA, USDA) and quality assurance practices (GMPs).\nAbility to operate equipment and machinery safely and effectively.\nMust have the ability to obtain forklift certification.\nKnowledge of safety regulations and practices related to forklift operation.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.\nGood communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.\nPhysical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects as required in the production process.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nN/A\nWorking Conditions and Physical Effort:\nWork involves daily and frequent exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness and/or poor lighting, noise, and vibration.
