Reporting directly to the Property COO, this analyst will collaborate with stakeholders from underwriting, claims, policy administration, IT, and other teams to deliver actionable analytics, recommend improvements, and ensure operational excellence.\nResponsibilities:\nAnalyze property business operations, processes, and performance metrics to identify trends, gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.\nPrepare regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leaders, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.\nConduct root cause analysis on operational issues; support the development and tracking of remediation action plans.\nAssist in developing and monitoring operational KPIs and benchmarks; participate in target setting and progress tracking.\nPartner with cross-functional teams to document workflows, map processes, and identify areas for standardization or automation.\nSupport process improvement initiatives, including collecting requirements, researching best practices, supporting implementation, and measuring outcomes.\nCollaborate with IT and data teams to ensure the integrity and accessibility of property operations data.\nAssist in developing business cases for investments in people, process, or technology to improve operations.\nMonitor regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements to ensure operations align with internal standards and external mandates.\nProvide analytical and project support for strategic initiatives and other projects as directed by the Property COO.\nSupport a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management, Insurance, Data Analytics, or related field.\n2+ years of experience in operations analysis, business analysis, or process improvement-insurance or property/casualty industry experience strongly preferred.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.\nExperience with process mapping and documentation (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) is a plus.\nExcellent attention to detail and organizational skills; able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills; capable of conveying complex information to a range of audiences.\nCollaborative working style with a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally.\nSelf-starter with initiative, flexibility, and a proactive approach to supporting operational goals.\nCommitment to high ethical standards, professional integrity, and operational excellence.\nFor individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Starr Insurance Companies is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
