This position provides technical expertise for critical network infrastructure. Our customer is the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and acts as the provider of GIG/Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to its customers, the department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations. This position directly supports the DISA-provided GIG capabilities and services in the 24x7 DISA Global Operations Center (DGOC). \n(This role is considered \"Mission Essential\" and may require supporting rotating involves shift work, which includes nights and weekends.) \nResponsibilities will include, but not be limited to:\nExecute network operations to include analysis of customer traffic across the MPLS and JRSS infrastructure. \nPerform real-time customer failover to restore services during scheduled and unscheduled outages and maintenance actions. \nWork directly with supported customers and peers to ensure maximum network availability to minimize or eliminate mission and operational impact.\nProactively monitor network alarms across platform specific network management tools.\nPerform a variety of change management tasks which include hardware replacement, software configurations, and ASI management. \nUtilize incident management applications to document all aspects of reported outages/degradations, isolations, escalations, and resolutions during the lifecycle of a service impacting network incident. \nAssess and identify resolutions to various network incidents and/or deficiencies leveraging knowledge in one or more of following: routers, switches, routing protocols, MPLS, VPN technologies, IDS/IPS, proxies, packet capture, network taps, load balancing, firewalls, out-of-band management.\n Minimum Qualifications:\nU.S. Citizenship.\nAn active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.\nCurrent DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE, or equivalent).\n2-4 yrs of recent and relevant technical experience.\nExperience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management.\nExpertise in one or more of the following: routers, switches, routing protocols, CISCO, Juniper, MPLS.\nGeneral understanding of network topologies.\nAbility to work in a 24/7 operation.\nDesired Qualifications:\nTech control facility or cyber transport experience\nCircuit actions and vendor experience \nIP architecture experience\nTelco NOC, inside or outside plant experience.\nExperience with MS Office suite, i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, TEAMs\nExperience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management, change management.\nAny additional certifications to include: CCNA, JNCIA-Junos, F5 Networks Certified Technical Specialist, ITILv4.\nEducation:\n A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is
