People who value teamwork, take pride in their work, and want to make an impact.\nAbout the Role:\nWe are seeking an experienced Security Operations (SecOps) Engineer to join our Cyber Security team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and optimising security technologies that support the detection, prevention and response to cyber threats across customer environments. Working closely with Security Operations Centre (SOC) analysts, infrastructure teams and customers, you will enhance security capabilities through engineering, automation and continuous improvement, ensuring secure, resilient and high-performing ICT environments. The role is located onsite in Sydney, CBD.\nAbout the role:\nDesign, implement, configure and maintain enterprise security technologies, including SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, firewalls, identity security and cloud security platforms. \nDevelop and optimise security monitoring capabilities through the creation of detection rules, correlation logic, dashboards and automated response workflows. \nEngineer and maintain security integrations between platforms to improve visibility, incident response and operational efficiency. \nSupport the investigation and resolution of complex cyber security incidents by providing technical expertise and engineering support to SOC and Incident Response teams. \nImplement and maintain security hardening, logging, monitoring and audit controls across on-premises, cloud and hybrid ICT environments. \nDevelop and maintain automation scripts and orchestration workflows to improve security operations and reduce manual effort. \nPerform platform upgrades, patching, configuration management and lifecycle maintenance for security technologies. \nAssess emerging threats, vulnerabilities and security technologies, recommending enhancements to strengthen customer security posture. \nProduce and maintain technical documentation, architecture artefacts, operational procedures and engineering standards. \n Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to design, implement and continuously improve security capabilities in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.\nAbout you:\nAustralian citizen (required for Defence projects) with a min AGSVA NV1 clearance. The ability to obtain a Negative Vetting 2 (NV2) security clearance is preferred. \n 5+ years' experience in Cyber Security Engineering, Security Operations, Infrastructure Security or a related technical role, with experience designing and supporting enterprise security solutions. \nDemonstrated experience implementing and administering security technologies such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Microsoft Defender XDR, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, or equivalent enterprise security platforms. \nStrong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, networking, cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS), identity and access management, scripting (PowerShell or Python), and security engineering best practices. \nRelevant industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert, SC-200, SC-100, CompTIA CySA+, GIAC certifications, CISSP, Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500), or equivalent.\nCommunicates clearly and confidently, both written and verbal.\nAdapts easily to change and works well in a team environment.\nWhy Join Us?\nVeteran-Focused: As a Veteran-owned and operated company, we value your service.
