This position serves as a functional expert across Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Funds Management (FM), and Sales & Distribution (SD), partnering with government stakeholders, business process owners, and technical teams to modernize enterprise financial and logistics operations supporting Department of Defense mission requirements.\nThe consultant is responsible for translating business requirements into SAP solutions, ensuring integration across finance, supply chain, transportation, and logistics business processes while supporting Agile delivery throughout the system lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nConfigure, implement, and support SAP S/4HANA functionality within:Financial Accounting (FI)\nControlling (CO)\nFunds Management (FM)\nSales & Distribution (SD)\n\nAnalyze business requirements and translate them into functional designs, system configurations, and technical specifications.\nSupport end-to-end financial and logistics business processes including:General Ledger (GL)\nAccounts Payable (AP)\nAccounts Receivable (AR)\nAsset Accounting (AA)\nCost Center Accounting\nInternal Orders\nBudget Control\nFunds Management\nSales Order Processing\nBilling\nPricing\nCustomer Master Data\n\nCollaborate with business stakeholders to improve financial controls, reporting, and logistics operations.\nParticipate in Fit-to-Standard workshops, business process reengineering sessions, and solution demonstrations.\nDevelop Functional Design Documents (FDDs), configuration documentation, business process procedures, and training materials.\nPrepare functional specifications for Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW).\nPartner with ABAP developers during development, testing, and deployment activities.\nSupport master data governance for financial, customer, and organizational data.\nPerform configuration, unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and defect resolution.\nAnalyze production issues and provide Tier II/Tier III application support.\nSupport data migration and reconciliation activities for financial and logistics master and transactional data.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.\nAssist with release management, production deployments, and post-production stabilization.\nSupport cybersecurity, audit, Authority to Operate (ATO), and compliance activities as required.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).\n5+ years of SAP functional experience supporting one or more of the following:SAP FI\nSAP CO\nSAP FM\nSAP SD\n\nExperience implementing or supporting SAP S/4HANA.\nStrong understanding of enterprise financial management and logistics business processes.\nExperience writing functional specifications for custom SAP developments.\nExperience supporting testing, production support, and system enhancements.\nExcellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting Department of Defense ERP modernization programs.\nExperience with SAP Activate implementation methodology.\nKnowledge of Agile software development methodologies.\nExperience integrating FI/CO/FM/SD with:Materials Management (MM)\nTransportation Management (TM)\nExtended Warehouse Management (EWM)\nEnterprise Asset Management (EAM)\nGlobal Trade Services (GTS)\n\nExperience with SAP Fiori applications.\nFamiliarity with SAP Cloud ALM or Solution Manager.\nUnderstanding of transportation, logistics, and financial operations supporting USTRANSCOM or other DoD organizations.\nActive Secret clearance.\nDesired Certifications\nSAP Certified Application Associate - Financial Accounting (FI)\nSAP Certified Application Associate - Management Accounting (CO)\nSAP Certified Application Associate - Sales (SD)\nSAP S/4HANA Certification in Finance or Logistics\nAgile Scrum Certification (CSM, SAFe, or equivalent)\nSecurity+ (preferred for DoD environments)\nJTMS-Specific Experience\nPreferred candidates will possess experience supporting large-scale SAP S/4HANA modernization initiatives within the Department of Defense, with expertise in integrating enterprise financial management and logistics capabilities to support transportation planning, execution, budgeting, accounting, and mission readiness.
