The role will also involve overseeing a small finance administration team and supporting the Financial Manager with financial planning and operational decision-making.\n\n POSITION INFO:\n\n RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage month-end and year-end financial reporting and reconciliations. Review journals, control accounts and monthly provisions. Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets and variance analyses. Coordinate budgeting processes and capital expenditure reporting. Maintain the fixed asset register and oversee related accounting processes. Oversee creditor payments, VAT submissions and compliance with SARS requirements. Supervise and support the creditors and payroll clerks. Ensure effective internal financial controls and audit readiness. Analyse financial data and identify opportunities for improved processes and efficiencies. Provide financial information and reporting to management and relevant statutory bodies. REQUIREMENTS: BCom Accounting degree or an equivalent qualification. 3-5 years' relevant experience in financial accounting, preferably up to trial balance and management accounts. Experience in month-end and year-end financial processes. Sound knowledge of VAT legislation and SARS submissions. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central will be advantageous. Experience in the agricultural or fruit industry will be beneficial. SAIPA or CIMA qualification, or progress towards professional registration, will be advantageous. Valid driver's licence.
