Collaborating closely with manufacturing leadership, you oversee various programs and initiatives to drive continuous improvement within the department. Your responsibilities include ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, conducting audits, providing project support, and guiding local HR staff to maintain productive and compliant work environments. Additionally, you lead investigations into complaints, manage projects, and facilitate monthly HR Manager Conference calls to provide updates on labor/employee relations.\n***A critical aspect of this role is to spend at least 30% of your time on the production floor, engaging with employees and understanding their needs firsthand.***\nThis is a 100% onsite position at our manufacturing plant.\nPRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nEnsure compliance with all federal and state regulations at all plant locations, including FMLA and workers' compensation\n\nProvide local Plant HR staff with guidance to address issues and sustain positive, productive, and compliant work environments\n\nWork with Plant HR staff in the investigation of discrimination or harassment complaints, Company policy violations, and recommend corrective action, if appropriate\n\nManage the recruitment and selection process\n\nDevelop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy\n\nBridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues\n\nOversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance\n\nConduct FLSA and HR audits as needed at plant locations\n\nProvide project support, including: research, report generation, preventative labor assistance, etc\n\nSupport the department during the annual budget process\n\nProvide monthly labor/employee relations updates\n\nAssess training needs to apply and monitor training programs\n\nReport to management and provide decision support through HR metrics\n\nConduct HRIS audits as needed for the corporate headquarters\n\nProvide compliance support to the plants, including workers' compensation and FMLA\n\nEnsure legal compliance throughout human resource management\n\nESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:\nBachelor degree in business administration, human resources or related field\n\n7 years related human resources experience\n\nCapable of walking 30% of the time on the shop floor\n\nDeep knowledge of HR KPIs such as turnover rate, absenteeism, labor cost, headcount, etc\n\nWorking knowledge of current government regulations related to employment law including FMLA, ADA, WC, EOE, COBRA, and EEOC\n\nProficient computer skills required, including Microsoft Office Suite\n\nDemonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams\n\nStrong analytical skills and attention to detail\n\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization\n\nExcellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload\n\nAbility to travel up to 20%\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:\nMBA\n\nProfessional in Human Resources (PHR)\n\nPrior ERP experience (PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP)\n\nLean Manufacturing and Six Sigma\n\nLean Manufacturing and Six Sigma\n\nExperience with employee engagement initiatives\n\nKnowledge of safety and health regulations\n\nExperience with conflict resolution and disciplinary processes\n\nFamiliarity with talent management and succession planning\n\nAbility to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity\n\nWHAT WE OFFER\nAt Cabinetworks, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support your health, financial well-being, and work-life balance, including medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, parental support programs, and company-paid life and disability benefits.
