We are America’s largest privately held cabinetmaker, a best-in-class team of over 6,000 team members across 20 locations, including 15 manufacturing facilities.\nSalary Range: $115,000 to $135,000 annually, plus annual bonus\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\nResponsible for managing the scheduling and delivery processes for the transport of raw and finished goods. Ensure that the network delivery and storage providers are meeting plans and making continuous improvements. Work with our logistics, supply chain, and manufacturing teammates to assure expectations are being met. Identify, qualify, and supervise third party service providers and their performance establishing best practices for the entire small parcel, warehousing, and inbound transportation logistics sector. Maximize efficiencies, identify cost savings measures, initiate/monitor KPIs and maintain Cabinetworks Group and business partner’s compliance requirements. Collaborate within Cabinetworks as well as suppliers and service providers to identify, deploy, and implement network solutions. Negotiate rates and service commitments with third party providers. This position focuses on Inbound Transportation as well as all Small Parcel Transportation needs.\nPRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nLead and participate in the development and revision of company policies and procedures to remain aligned with changing procurement and transportation needs within Cabinetworks\nConduct and oversee regular internal reviews and audits to ensure meeting standards\nLead, train, and mentor third-party service providers and Cabinetworks teammates to effectively execute day-to-day activities and support professional development\nFull involvement with small parcel operations\nServe as the primary point of contact for all inbound transportation\nInterface with third-party service providers and internal stakeholders routinely\nOrientation, training, and on-site audits of supplier shipping and Cabinetworks receiving/warehousing processes\nControl expenditure while maximizing available resources\nSmall Parcel oversight in shipping, tracking, and cost optimization of lightweight packages\nDevelop, review, and manage Cabinetworks third-party service provider monthly chargeback dollars for loss and damage of materials/goods in transit/storage\nRoutine service provider performance reviews in-person/virtually addressing on-time pick-up/delivery, loss, damage, costs, and overall meaningful service levels\nIdentify root causes that contribute to failures, claims, and inability to achieve goals within KPIs to develop, implement, and command counter measures bringing performance back to standard\nParticipate in Kaizen and Six Sigma events focused on logistics cost reduction or service enhancements\nResponsible for carrier rates, cost performance to budget, and reporting on financial performance weekly/monthly\nRegularly review market data to drive cost savings\nLead RFP’s, conduct cost analysis, determine and implement initiatives\nMaintain professional relationships with service providers\nMaintain transportation related platforms and their ensuring appropriate availability and usage across Cabinetworks\nParticipate in finished goods returns to Cabinetworks’ resale facilities\nCompletes other projects and responsibilities as requested by Cabinetworks leadership\nESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:\nBachelor’s degree in business or transportation related field or equivalent combination of education and experience\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, and or supply chain role\nProven track record of progressive experience in areas of transportation operations\nExcellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally\nHighly analytical with a strong attention to detail\nProficient computer skills required, including Microsoft Office Suite\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization\nAbility to think strategically with supporting analytical skills\nAbility to travel domestically as needed (2-5 weeks yearly)\nAbility to learn and utilize multiple ERPs and transportation systems/platforms\nFirm ability to negotiate and strong ability to hold third-parties responsible to expectations\nStrong organization and adherence to carrier / service provider contracts\nProject/Process implementation abilities (start to finish and site specific)\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:\nCritical thinking and cross functional project implementation abilities\nLean Process Experience (Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping)\nExperience working in or with a manufacturing industry such as furniture or cabinets\nExperience within a third-party Logistics/Consulting firm and or small parcel service provider\n5+ years in a leadership role managing carriers and contracting\nWHAT WE OFFER\nAt Cabinetworks, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support your health, financial well-being, and work-life balance, including medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, parental support programs, and company-paid life and disability benefits.
