This is why your career with our company can be so satisfying, rewarding and worthwhile.\nResponsible and accountable for providing leadership in assigned department to achieve departmental and plant business objectives.\nPRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAssign and coordinate work, assist with employee selection, review employee performance, resolve employee issues and administer company policies in assigned department.\nManage and drive departmental performance measures articulated in the Cabinetworks Group Operating System (COS), including visual controls and proficiency with the tools and reporting requirements in the system.\nCoordinate and direct the activities of the department to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality and promoting safety, plant housekeeping and employee morale.\nEnsure all job-related accidents or injuries are reported and documented by those responsible and take appropriate corrective action in an expeditious manner.\nRecommend equipment upgrades, staffing adjustments, and process modifications.\nInspect product to verify product standards and specifications are met.\nProvide technical and behavioral coaching and development to employees.\nTrack absenteeism and timekeeping in Kronos.\nParticipate in and/or lead continuous improvement projects to reduce material and labor costs.\nESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nProficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.\nDemonstrated successful ability to lead people and get results through others.\nSuccessful experience in employee training and development including that of peers and subordinates.\nExperience with measurement of performance to goals and standards.\nAbility to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations.\nQuality orientation and attention to detail.\nExcellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.\nDemonstrated successful ability to prioritize and multi-task various and conflicting responsibilities.\nDemonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:\nAssociate’s or bachelor’s degree in related field.\n1-2 year’s Supervisory Experience.\nExperience with manufacturing software systems.\nContinuous improvement training such as Six Sigma or Kaizen.\nLean Manufacturing knowledge and strong background in material flow and bottleneck removal principles.\nExposure to systems controls such as ISO 140001.\nGreen Belt Certification or comparable problem-solving certification.\nShift\nFull or Part Time\nFull timeCabinetworks Group (the “Company”) is an equal opportunity employer and we want to have the best available persons in every job.
