Network & Security Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on Network & SecurityEngineer to support the planning, deployment, configuration,implementation, and ongoing support of enterprise network and cybersecurityinfrastructure.

The successful candidate will be involved in network andfirewall projects, troubleshooting complex connectivity and security issues,preparing technical documentation, and working closely with internal projectteams.

Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet solutions isessential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the planning, deployment, configuration, testing, and implementation of enterprise network infrastructure and firewall projects.
• Configure, manage, troubleshoot, and optimize routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and other network security devices.
• Implement and provide advanced technical support for network and security solutions.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex network, firewall, security, and connectivity issues.
• Support firewall policy configuration, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, network segmentation, NAT, and related network services.
• Support Day 2 Maintenance for the implemented networks. Shift work will be required.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, consultants, and project teams to ensure successful project implementation and delivery.
• Participate in site surveys, technical discussions, solution implementation, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation not limited to and including:
• High-Level Design (HLD)
• Low-Level Design (LLD)
• Network diagrams
• Implementation plans
• Method of Procedure (MOP)
• Test plans and test reports
• Configuration documentation
• Operational and troubleshooting procedures
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), System Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and project handover activities.
• Ensure implemented solutions comply with organizational cybersecurity policies, customer requirements, and industry security best practices.
• Provide technical knowledge transfer and training to customers and internal support teams.
• Provide post-implementation troubleshooting and technical support when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in network infrastructure, network security, or firewall implementation projects.
• Strong practical knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, firewall policies, and network troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience configuring enterprise routers, switches, firewalls, and network security appliances.
• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet products is required.
• Experience with one or more of the following technologies would be advantageous:
• Cisco
• Palo Alto Networks
• Check Point
• Juniper
• Server Infrastructures
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and security incidents independently.
• Good understanding of network security principles, segmentation, access control, firewall policies, and secure network architecture.
• Able to prepare clear technical documentation and communicate technical information effectively.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within project teams.
• Willing to perform implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and support activities at customer sites when required.

• Fortinet Certified Professional / Fortinet Certified Solution Specialist
• CCNA
• CCNP Enterprise
• CCNP Security
• Palo Alto Networks certifications
• Check Point certifications
• Juniper certifications
• Other relevant networking or cybersecurity certifications

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in the following areas will havean advantage:

• Enterprise firewall migration or deployment projects
• Network segmentation and security zoning
• High-availability firewall deployments
• FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiSIEM, or FortiSwitch
• Network monitoring and management platforms
• Enterprise LAN/WAN environments
• Data centre or critical infrastructure environments
• Cybersecurity hardening and network security compliance
