We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Construction Equipment Engineer - Planning & Coordination to join the Equipment Support & Service team. In this role, you will play a key part in identifying, managing, and coordinating equipment needs across multiple construction projects. You will ensure optimal equipment availability, integration with project schedules, and smooth communication between stakeholders.
This role requires strong organisational, technical, and communication skills, as well as a hands-on understanding of construction operations and specialised equipment.
Your Contribution
- Collaborate with project teams (start-up and ongoing projects) to assess and identify equipment requirements for various construction activities.
- Develop and maintain short- and long-term equipment planning schedules, aligned with project timelines.
- Proactively gather and verify information from construction sites to ensure accurate and up-to-date planning.
- Coordinate between construction sites, project stakeholders, and equipment resources to optimise utilisation and availability.
- Identify equipment procurement needs or opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
- Integrate equipment planning into overall project schedules, ensuring smooth interaction across teams.
- Use planning tools and methodologies such as Primavera, MS Project, and LEAN to manage equipment schedules effectively.
- Maintain clear, assertive communication with colleagues and stakeholders to share relevant information and ensure efficient decision-making.
Your Profile
- Strong general knowledge of construction sites, operations, and specialised equipment, particularly in building, civil, and infrastructure works.
- Solid experience in equipment planning, logistics, or related fields within the construction industry.
- Proficiency with planning software such as Primavera, MS Project, and LEAN methodologies.
- Excellent coordination and organisational skills to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimise equipment utilisation.
- Highly communicative, proactive, and assertive in engaging with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced construction environment.
