Structural Design Engineer - Water Projects (UAE) (English, Hindi)

We are looking for a Structural Design Engineer who will support the development and delivery of water and environmental infrastructure projects across the region.

You will be involved during tender, design, and early execution phases, contributing to the development of technically sound, practical, and cost-efficient civil and structural engineering solutions for water and wastewater facilities.

In this multidisciplinary role, you work closely with process, mechanical, and construction teams to ensure that engineering solutions are aligned with operational requirements, project delivery strategies, and construction realities.

Your Contribution

Civil & Structural Engineering

• Review and coordinate civil and structural engineering packages related to water and environmental infrastructure projects
• Validate structural calculations, engineering assumptions, and technical deliverables prepared by consultants and engineering partners
• Contribute to the development of practical and constructible engineering solutions for treatment facilities and hydraulic structures
• Support engineering development from concept stages through detailed design

Tender & Technical Support

• Support tender activities including quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, pricing support, and cost estimation
• Contribute to value engineering initiatives with focus on constructability, durability, and cost optimization
• Assist in defining technical strategies and engineering approaches during preconstruction phases

Coordination & Project Integration

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including process, mechanical, and construction specialists
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical deliverables
• Support execution teams during project phases through technical clarifications and design coordination

Standards & Compliance

• Ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable international standards and project requirements
• Contribute to technical reviews and maintain engineering quality throughout project development

Your Profile

Education & Experience

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 7 years of experience within water, wastewater, or environmental infrastructure projects
• Previous Middle East project experience is required
• Exposure to European projects, suppliers, or engineering standards is considered an asset

Technical Expertise

• Strong background in reinforced concrete design for hydraulic and water-retaining structures
• Experience with treatment plants, pumping stations, tanks, clarifiers, or related infrastructure
• Familiarity with international engineering standards such as Eurocodes, ACI, and British Standards
• Experience with tendering, BOQ preparation, value engineering, and cost estimation processes

Skills & Working Style

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical engineering mindset
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
• Fluent in English; Hindi or Arabic is considered an asset
